Hm, well, Larry's site specifically said writing and not recording, so perhaps they wrote some or all of the songs in July and plan to record them later. Although, if they're planning to tour (or at least play a few scattered performances) this fall to "promote" the album, they really should have it released by then.
I'm watching Willy Wonka. I love Johnny Depp, but I have no desire to see the new one.

I hope that the songs they're writing sort of continue in the vein of the ones so far, since I've really liked those.

Me too, although if they do, I have a feeling they won't resonate with most of his fanbase. I like the melancholy feel to them, too.
And seriously, Ash? All I've ever heard about Depp's Wonka was that he's crazy and scary, but Wilder has always given me the absolute creeps (in the good way). The whole boat sequence freaks me out every time. My favorite part of the show is "Pure Imagination," though.

I love the new songs, but also hope there are a few lighter moments to balance things out. As for the fanbase, I think they may warm up to the new material given the chance.

The new Willy Wonka is kinda...weird. It felt like I was high the whole time. The Oompa Loompas are creeepy. I guess it was funny, and I though Johnny Depp was great in it but...yea, weird.

Not surprising from what I've seen of it.
If "weird" were spelled like other words that are similar, like "beard" or "feared," everyone would have an easier time of it. But that's English for you.

It's getting late all right, but you actually spelled it in a way that makes better sense - you know the old rule, "i before e, except after c"... and if you're trying to spell "weird." After all, "teir" isn't spelled like that, it's "tier" and "pier" and "siege" and "liege." No wonder people get confused.

Great pictures! I'm on a photography kick these days (trying to change up the art in my room)...
It's going to be a good week...tonight's my last night at work (yaaaay!), tomorrow might be my 21st birthday, big dinner on Friday...not even my horrible physics teacher can ruin it (he cancelled our test this week!)

Hee, I know it wasn't meant this way, but the way it's worded it sounds like you're unsure of when your 21st birthday will take place. For those of you keeping track, mine's in a month and a day (I suggest marking your calendars).
