Ooh. Now everyone's making me hungry. We should have a pineapple/cookie/chocolate covered pretzel party.
Any party with food and I'll be there!
Why do you guys always have to make me hungry at this time of night?
Nice pictures, skittles. The colors are really striking. Where was this? (Sorry if you've mentioned it a dozen times already.)
It's in North Carolina, below the Outer Banks. I've gone there with my family since I was 8.
I was surprised that the colors turned out so vivid in the pictures, but the light was already so interesting because of the storm, which is what made me want to take the pictures in the first place.
I went to the Outer Banks last summer, but... it was pretty much flooded.
The light can be really interesting on a cloudy day. Is Wilmington nearby? I visited there once. It was pretty.
Pretty pictures skittles!
I went to see Daphne on Sunday (posted a review on the main board). My sister said "what if Adam comes as a surprise?" I wish. I would've flipped out. Too bad he lives too far away.
He used to go to at his friends shows sometimes, so your hope would have been a possibility if he still lived here.
Hi Emcee. Were you there after a hurricane?
It's about an hour north of Wilmington, right across the sound from Morehead City; it's called the Crystal Coast and there are a couple different beaches there.
We've been really lucky with weather. Actually, a few years, the island has been evacuated for hurricanes only a week or two AFTER we go. Quite a few houses on the island have been damanged and had to be torn down in recent years. I was just noticing that when we were driving around one day and there were so many new houses that had just been built, or in the process of being built. That yellow house was only finished last summer while we were there.
Yup, Chloe, just a few days after. :/
Sorry Emcee, I lost my internet connection last night.

ahh To the Stage! I woke up this morning with the inspiration to change to a Crybaby picture. I don't know how long you've had your current picture but it's interesting that we've both had a desire for old school Johnny Depp!
I'm listening to I'm With You for the first time in ages. It's so beautiful, and kind of like a memory capsule for me; it was the first song in the set the very first time I saw him perform his own music.
You're talking about Kean, right? I guess it didn't register with me that I'm With You was first. The first time I heard Civilian it was definitely the standout. It also seems the most connected to the new material.
Yup, and he did scaled-down arrangements at that point too, but so we could better understand the lyrics, he said.
It was the first song; he came out and sang it with Jim Abbott on piano, no intro... just started singing. I was stunned.
Wow, that sounds magical. I guess he's had this stripped-down idea in the back of his mind for a while. I like the arrangements on the new songs very much. Ideally for me, the recorded version would be similar but with another instrument or two.
Yeah, I'd like that, too. :)
It kind of was. I just had NO idea he had THAT much presence or anything. And there was that kind of first-time excitement that you just cannot replicate.
I remember that first-time feeling, which for me was the first Joe's Pub show. I'd seen him in Aida just a couple of months before, but that's a little different. You expect someone in theater to have a theatrical presence. Feeling that radiation from a dozen feet away was quite something.

<----- Is very jealous of everyone.
I hope you get your chance this fall too.
Thanks Chloe. I'm crossing my fingers!
October cannot come any slower! Adam & So You Think You Can Dance all in one month!
Weirdly enough, I'm With You was stuck in my head last night
I have to apologize for the shameless pimping that is about to occur. *g* I just wanted to let you guys know that I've finally finished the Press Archive at Adam-Pascal.com, which you can find here: http://www.adam-pascal.com/press/
