It would be awesome if like we had Adam swing by BWW & have him answer all of our unknown questions.
Ex: 1. The necklace
2. Julie Fisher (or is it Fischer?)
3. Middle name?
4. Weird unexplainable lyrics
That would be so awesome. My heart would melt.
I've thought about that too, Angela, though I wouldn't ask him about Julie. I would like to know more about his songs for sure.

She's probably just a friend (or a relative) who he brought to the Tonys ten years ago. I doubt she had a significant impact on his life.
I'd like to see him have an online Q&A with the fans, but not on BWW. I like to think that he doesn't read these posts.
True Chloe. Adam needs to scadaddle on down here!
Connie- I forgot to mention how much I love the new press section! No wonder it took you so long. It's awesome.
Lexi, we've just about concluded that he probably has seen them, considering that he talked about spending too much time on the internet only last week.
I guess it's really too late to go back and change a few things on thread #1, isn't it.

Right, but I hope we scared him away the first time and he never comes back!
It would be kinda cool if he did read these posts. Even though we probably scared him away, it would be pretty amazing if he reads this

I want this week to be over! I just found out I have gum tissue growing over my lower back molars, & I'll have get it removed. I cannot wait until I go on vacation next week! *cheers (silently because I'm at the library) happily!*
My dad had surgery earlier today and everything went well. We have to wait a few days and then we get the test results back from pathology.
I'm sorry to hear about your dad - hope everything turns out all right with his tests.
Angela, where are you going on vacation?
Tonight I listened to Just As I Am again. It's definitely simpler lyrically than the other two, in fact I had no trouble understanding any of it. Musically it has more going for it than I realized at first. The instrumental break in the middle is nice. I especially like the way he blasts out the end of the song, and the bluesy feel to some of it.
Just As I Am
Here I am
My head held high
But I
Want to cry
I ask you this
Which way to go
I’ll seek any place
Far from here
Don’t let me down
I ain’t got no heart no more
Just tell me you love me
And leave me just like I am
I gave my life
For your gentle soul
Gave all my love
For you and I, you and I
I ask you this
Who are we now?
Are we wiser
Or is this goodbye?
Don’t let me down
I ain’t got no heart no more
Just tell me you love me
And leave me just like I am
Leave me just like I am
Leave me just like I am
Leave me just like I am
Just tell me you love me
Or leave me just like I am
(instrumental break)
Here I am
My head held high
And I
Just want to cry
I ask you this
Which way to go
I’ll take any place
Far from here
So don’t let me down
I ain’t got no heart no more
Just tell me you love me
Or leave me just as I am
Leave me just as I am
Leave me just like I am
Leave me just like I am
Oh leave me just like I am
Leave me just like I am
Tell me you love me
Oh tell me you love me
God, tell me you love me
Or leave me just like I am
It's simple, but not at all in a bad way. I love the lyrics.
The verses have the same kind of astounding openness as the other two songs. In our hypothetical BWW Q&A I'd love to ask how the collaboration with Larry works. It has obviously had a big effect, though the emotional nakedness is all Adam, I think.
Kind of OT, but still relating to Adam...
I've searched EVERYWHERE for this, but does anyone know the specific dates of Adam's run in the London production of RENT? I'm trying to update Adam's theatre credits page at A-P.com, and I cannot, for the life of me, find this one piece of information out. :P
And as a pre-emptive thank you for any information any of you can provide, a fantastic fan by the name of Ally has sent me videos from Adam's hosting day down at The Grove on July 22: http://www.adam-pascal.com/media/public.php :)
Yikes - sorry I'm not sure. I was wondering that, too, because a friend of mine said he'd seen Adam in London all those years ago. I'll try to help.
Anyway, hi everyone! I'm Ariella (at least on this board). I hang around the IMDb Adam boards, and I decided to join up when the great person known as Chloe here invited me. So let's see... I've been a (huge) Adam fan for a long time (I'm technologically challenged, so it took me a while to get around to the boards). I saw the original cast of Rent in 1997 near the end of Daphne's run when I was on the young end (my parents were not pleased.) I saw Adam in Aida during both his runs, and once as the Emcee in Cabaret. I'm also a huge fan of his music -both Model Prisoner and Civilian. As I've been raving about on IMDb, I recently met Adam at the concert he hosted in L.A., and I went to his solo concert. He was one of the most incredibly nice people I'd ever met, and his talent and stage presence are incredible. So yeah... can't wait to join in on this very cool thread. Adam Pascal + love go together very well.
Hi!
You're so lucky to have seen the OBC. :)
They were amazing. Being grounded for going off with my cousin to see the "dark and adult" musical was completely worth it.

Welcome Ariella. Thanks for the great review!
Jyn- nice avatar I love that movie! I just watched that in the car..on my way home from Delaware.
Thanks for the great welcomes, everyone. Just out of curiosity, how many pages does each board get before we move onto a new one? #10 is up to 184 already.

After 200 pages (or 5,000 posts) a thread gets locked and a new one is created. When the first Official Adam thread was started two years ago by insomniak, it wasn't locked until it reached over 25,000 posts. It got pretty cumbersome after a while, especially for those on dial-up. The 2nd and 3rd versions had 15,000 and 10,000 posts, so you see we've racked up a considerable number in the last couple years.
Each thread has a link to the previous one on the first post, and they're all still available, so you can do some research into past history if you have a spare couple of months. Of course we've strayed from the main topic fairly often.

I love Adam, but I still can't make it through the old threads except for bits and pieces.
