People on LJ are insane about crediting those icons. It's a little scary.
I've noticed that, opiv. Death to all your new-born, and all that.
I don't think it's that easy for a relative unknown to get cartoon work at the moment, if that helps Lexi. The trend right now is to get big names (often regardless of whether they're actually right for the part) to help sell the movie. I know something about Doogal, for instance. It was originally done with all English actors. When the Weinstein Company bought it, they decided to revoice it with Americans and chose people like Whoopi Goldberg, Jon Stewart and Jimmy Fallon.
I have to agree, not actually seeing Adam doing a part would be a huge waste!

Exactly. Of course, there's the more superficial factor of "oooh, I want to see Adam," but I really do enjoy watching him act (or as some would say, trying to act).
I'm all curious as to what he's doing right now.
I'm highly amused by the fact that he wants to do voice-overs.
What roles would they give him?
I want Adam to do some animated disney movies, because they usually require singing.

I don't want to hear him sing songs that you'd typically find in a Disney cartoon, though.
LOL, as like a prince or a hero.
Some songs from Disney movies are good though.
I don't know, but I'm wondering what *he* wants to do. At one time or another he's claimed to be a big fan of The Simpsons, South Park and Family Guy, so maybe he just wants to be a part of one of those shows. The way he talked about it implied that he can do "funny" voices, which leads me to wonder - what kind of funny voices?
Character voices, maybe -- like ones that are not his own? If you've ever watched South Park or Family Guy... those kinds of things. Most of those are clearly not the actors' actual voices.

Yeah. I don't think we need him as like, Sylvester the Cat (nor would anyone really want him as that).
I honestly just laughed out loud.

Well, we know he can do an old-man voice and a hyper-fangirl voice.
Mariel
Very true, Mariel. I'd forgotten about those.
It might be worth is to see Adam doing the voices in a behind the scenes thing on the DVD.
Yes, there's always that.
I know some of you were talking about Natalie Portman a day or two ago. For some reason I've pictured Adam working with her a few times.
That's a lot of beauty. heh. I can picture that, though!
I can see it. That would be a great combo.
Definitely feels smoldering to me.

Natalie's gorgeous, but I don't think of her as overtly sensual, mainly because of the roles in which I've seen her. I certainly haven't seen closer.
They'd make a hot couple, though, although Adam is quite a bit older than her.
I kind of like that he's older.
I can see two possible scenarios. One is that she's a troubled, sensitive soul and he's the older, wiser man who is able to teach her to love. The other is that he's a troubled, hardened soul whom she's able to reach through her beauty and sensitivity. (There are only so many plots, as has been well documented.)

Me too, but casting directors might not.
Those are interesting scenarios. I remember my eighth grade literature teacher saying that there are only six real plots, although I imagine there perhaps a few more than that.
Also, I can't imagine that they'd cast someone who's still a relative no-name opposite someone like Natalie Portman, but we can dream, right?

Oh I know. I'm still working on my theory that if enough possibilities are tossed around, one of them might come true. They could be cast together if she were willing to do a small independent on the strength of the script or because a friend was doing it.

Knowing a bit about her background, she seems like someone who would possibly agree to a small indie film. Of course, the chances of them actually working together are still slim to none, but it's definitely a nice thought.
