Is this really all I missed the past two days? *tsk, tsk* but I guess there's not much to talk about anyway. I saw Spamalot last night and I thought it was absolutly hilarious. I loved it and I think I might drag my family along to see it with me again. I really hope that Adam comes to Chicago. That would be awesome, maye my mom would let me actually go to his concert this time.

I'm glad you liked Spamalot dancin. I heard it was hilarious but I never saw it.
That's good news!
People need to come to Toronto.
Speaking of Adam tours and Toronto, I had an interesting dream last night. Adam was at what I'm assuming was my school. He wasn't performing or anything, he was just there. And there were a crowd of people around me waiting to see him, but he had to do something first. He was talking to me a bit, and he knew my name, then he left. And his "person" (PA, security, friend, etc.) was Susan Egan and she was talking to me, because we're obviously friends since she requested to be my myspace buddy.
Sarah, a couple of people on LJ are talking right now about trying to get Adam to Toronto. Maybe you could join forces.
That's a strange sort of inconclusive dream.

I wonder if Adam will be recording his new album in California. I'm sure the Sh-K-Boom recording studios are in NY, but they could probably figure out a way for him to record his album that didn't require a cross-country trip.
Although, I'd assume Larry lives in NY. I wonder how that is going to work out. It's not often that a main co-collaborator lives on the other side of the country.

I've been wondering that too. Larry Edoff does live in NY, at least as of recently. I'm not sure that Sh-K-Boom has their own recording studio. It looks to me like they use existing ones, so that won't be an issue. With the technology nowadays, it's not even necessary for collaborators to be on the same continent, but I have a feeling that Adam wouldn't like working that way.
I don't think they have their own studio either, but the office is in an area that's got like five recording studios within very close distance. I assumed they used spaces up there, though. I suppose if the people producing the album are willing to travel, you can record wherever you want. Plus, there are techniques where, if they wanted, Larry could record in NYC, and Adam in CA.

Yeah, you can definitely record wherever you want -- I was just thinking under the assumption that Sh-K-Boom would want Adam to record his album in their studios to lower costs, but seeing as they don't actually have their own studios, he could probably record in whatever city he wants without a huge jump in recording costs (unless Sh-K-Boom already has a contract with one of the recording studios in the area).
Adam doesn't seem like the type who would be comfortable with recording his section thousands of miles away from the person who is recording a significant portion of his upcoming album, but who knows? I suppose we'll find out the logistics of the situation soon enough.

I'm excited for a new Adam CD to come out. Hopeuflly soon. I've heard around Christmas, so that's exciting.
I hope Adam doesn't perform in all colleges, maybe some public places.
The booking company seems to be open to pretty much anything, but that's not the tough part. At least we know the east coast has a shot now.
I was listening to some music on Shuffle on iTunes earlier, and Rufus Wainwright's (*drools*) cover of "Hallelujah" came on. It got me thinking...Adam would sound fantastic singing that song.
That is a really great song, and I've thought about Adam singing it too. It's got kind of a different emotional tone from anything he's done so far. It could be quite a challenge.
The more I think about it, the more I think I would love to hear Adam sing that song.
It was used very effectively in the film "Basquiat," which is interesting in itself too.
Most of all I want to see Adam in a good part that he plays well in an artistically and financially successful film or theater piece. Not asking for much, am I? (This worked before - I said I wanted to see Adam in any kind of show, and the next day he was on Martha Stewart.)
I think I heard that Adam will be going back to NY to record the album. I think Noah told me, but I can't remember conclusively. :P
Thanks, Connie. If most of the people who will be involved in it are still in NY, that makes sense.
Euan Morton has an excellent version of Hallelujah on his NewClear album.

I have to admit that the title of that album sounds a bit like an acne-eliminating cream.
Haha, I agree w/ you Lexi
Ha!
I think everyone has done a version of Hallelujah. Adam should do one and join the club, and they can play it during really angsty moments on TV shows.
rentsecrets are up. They're kind of lame, but what else is new?
oh wow! I think this thread died!
I hope not! Keep the thread alive I'll attempt to start something here:
I heard some audio of Adam singing at Rent10. I have to say, some it I don't like. In Light my Candle, He sounded a bit harsh at times. It sometimes sounded like he was trying to had or something. What has everybody else thought?
I never really heard him sing anything from Rent10. Is there a link with any audio or something? Random: I feel like a doll right now. I'm getting ready for dance pictures and I have on way too much makeup and hairspray. I'm getting light headed from all the fumes.
