I was blown away from what I've heard of the Rent10. I didn't have any issues with the way any of them sung, and I found that their mistakes or flaws just made it that much better.
I think it would be difficult to go by audio alone, as obviously all sorts of unusual things were going on, people goofing off at times and so forth.
I think he sound really good. I liked Glory.
Right, I think it was one of his better performances of it I've heard.
May I make a suggestion? This thread has never been just about Adam, but recently the kinds of OT stuff that regulars used to post here has been going to the Banal thread instead. I think that's the main reason this thread has been languishing a bit lately. Yes, Adam hasn't been doing that much, but we've survived other slow times. Maybe we got spoiled by all the Rent movie brouhaha.
Jumping from thread to thread makes it harder to have the kind of fun, wandering, incoherent discussions we used to. I'd like to get back to that, if we can.
I know, Angela, what I said doesn't apply to you.
. Just responded to what someone had asked.

I'm glad I opened this thread to Chloe's request for something off-topic!
This is semi-OT; it does relate to Adam, but not exclusively. I don't know if anyone else would find this interesting, but I found a costuming web site (I'm a costume nut) that has a section on RENT-inspired costumes. They were made by college students, and, being feminine replicas of male characters' costumes, they're not exact copies. I like how they describe Roger as "quite the clothes horse"!

Hey Zyla. Interesting - those must be the shortest skirts I've ever seen.
AP Online was partly down for a while, as in you couldn't see any update posts, but it's back now. Here's an interesting new picture from the '96 Tonys. Anyone know who that is with Adam?
Hee, I love how his nails are painted.
I don't know who the girl is that he's with, but that girl over his right shoulder looks like she's about to be sick.

Chloe, it's from the AP Photo Archive. The caption reads:
Actor Adam Pascal, left, accompanied by Julie Fisher, arrives for the 1996 Tony Awards at the Majestic Theatre in New York, Sunday June 2, 1996. Pascal has been nominated for the Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Musical for his role in "Rent." (AP Photo/Wally Santana)
Thanks, Lexi. I suppose she was his girlfriend at the time. She looks rather intense. (It shows more in the super huge HQ version.)
Skittles, do we know if he always painted his nails for the show?

I think it's her just expression. I posted a few photos from the NY Daily News archive months ago from the same date, and she didn't look quite that fierce.
It could very well have been his girlfriend at the time (although, I thought he was with Daphne?), but oftentimes, single guys bring female friends on the red carpet with them just so they don't seem alone.
On the second Seth's Chatterbox, he said that he painted them for Rent. I knew that's what it was for, I just found it funny that he didn't bother to take it off for the Tonys.
Yeah, it is funny. I suppose he thought it was too much trouble. The vest is nothing compared to the extremely oversized jacket he wore for the Tony luncheon.
I must have missed those other pictures, Lexi. I thought about the "friend" idea too, especially since blondes don't seem to be his type.
I don't think we know when the whole Daphne thing occurred, but I suppose they might not have wanted to show up together anyway.

Hm, I don't know if you can say that blondes aren't "his type" because he likely dated a brunette as well as married one. That's not exactly a large sample size, and the woman in the photo may not act like a "typcial blonde."
You can find the other photos I was referring to at dailynewspix.com (search for his name). :)
That necklace looks like something you'd buy at a garage sale in the $1 bin!
I never really liked how he looked in those press pictures. He doesn't really look happy most of the time, because of his weird smile.
He was probably somewhat dazed by everything that had happened.
Lexi, I wasn't going by anything rational on the "type" thing, just my own feelings about it, which are probably irrelevant.

Everytime I see pics from "the Rent years," I remember how old he looked compared to now.
OT: Since you guys heard all my rants about applying and needing to find a job, I have an interview at Starbucks tonight!
We could have two Starbucks employees on the thread this summer.

Oh, ok. :) Sorry, I tend to play devil's advocate about the smallest issues and sound rude when doing it. It's just me being me!
I think I'm going to go out tonight. I feel like I could use the fresh air.
Wow to that green jacket.
