Yup, I'm getting all four out too. People always look so funny afterwards with their swollen cheeks. I remember when my brother got his out, and the doctor gave him this ice pack that went around his head so it could be next to his cheeks without him holding it. It looked pretty funny.
Hey Alix. I noticed a lot depended on the moderator in those seminars, and how well he asked questions and kept things going.
I've just looked at the Amazon page for Cybele's cookbook. A couple of the reviews display the kind of appalling lack of sophistication about food that I had hoped was no longer so prevalent:
After a friend of mine brought this to a food allergy support group meeting, we both agreed that this book is very, very, very Organic, and not for children. At least mine aren't going to dive into a batch of Jerusalem artichokes, or chopped livers, or vegetable tagine???
No one in our group has ever heard of the Spectrum brand of oils and shortenings, that she tells us to use.
Of course Cybele explains where to look for all the things she recommends, and you'd think anyone dealing with food allergies would be a little more open to new products.
I origally bought this as I have a child with allergies. Some of the recipes look interesting, and maybe i will try them, someday. But i cannot find many that will appeal to my child. Except the Chicken Nuggets - although these are made with beer. I thought beer had wheat, and i don't think i'll be making my child a dinner with Beer. Nor do i think i can trick my husband into eating lasagna composed entirely of vegetables.
And, of course Cybele SAYS that most beers have wheat, and recommends a brand that doesn't, but I've noticed that the negative reviewers don't seem to have read much beyond the list of recipes. I'm starting to feel like American culture has significantly regressed. There's almost the feel of a political agenda to some of the posts - you know, she recommends organic ingredients, she must be some kind of LIBERAL ELITIST!
Sorry to rant on...

I'm watching the Rent one.
I'm not sure if heavy pain meds make you become completely uncensored or just make you want to go to sleep. I'm guessing the latter, but the former sounds like more fun.

I haven't looked at the reviews in-depth and don't own the cookbook, so I'm probably not in the position to comment. I'd imagine that most snide comments are probably a result of, as you pointed out, a lack of reading the actual text. I support Jessica's idea of forcing people to pass IQ tests before gaining access to the internet.

Adam did two seminars (one in 96 and another in 2000)
ETA: I have the unfortunate joy of starting summer school tomorrow with my first class at 7:30 am (wtf is wrong with me...) I really should go to bed...I swear...I'm going *drags self away from the computer*

The heavy pain meds I got when I had my wisdom teeth pulled made me fall asleep. Twenty minutes after I took it, I was out for 3 hours straight. Medicine rarely has an effect on me, but Vicodin is magical.
Chloe, that sucks. I mean, obviously she can just blow-off stupid ratings like that, but still. You'd think these people would read the description of the book before buying it- I'm pretty sure "organic" is used. Then again, common sense doesn't seem to be a quality these people possess. The woman complaining about the all-vegetable lasagna- couldn't she just add meat if she wanted to?
I think I'm another of the lucky ones with regards to wisdom teeth... mine had already mostly come in and my dentist and orthodontist both told me not to worry about getting them out because there was enough room for them.
I agree with regards to the comments about Cybele's cookbook... you would think, given that they have children with presumably severe food allergies, that the people buying the book would read it carefully.

Ashley, you're so lucky. My friend actually had the same problem. I told her that she's closer to the chimps than the rest of us, with the longer jawline and all. :P
I have to work tomorrow at 7 AM. Save me.
ETA: I'm not sure why I called your situation a "problem," Ashley. Clearly, I'm sleepy.

Yikes! Come to think of it, I have to take out the garbage around then. We should all probably follow Amber's example and drag ourselves AWAY from the keyboard.
I don't have to work until 9, but I need to wake up by 7:30 at the latest in order to have enough time to get ready and drop off my laundry and dry-cleaning before I go to work.

Chloe, can't you take it out the night before? I'd hate to have to wake up early to take out the garbage!
I feel like it's time to change my avatar, but I'm rather attached.
Beer is a weird thing. Yeah, it contains wheat, but most wheat allergic people are okay with it because of the fermentation process.
The thing with writing a book like this is that she can't cover everybody -- allergies aren't like, a formula. So, even with the labelling law snafu aside for a moment, it's impossible to create something in true universal safety.

Em, the same Billy Warlock that was on General Hospital?! Wow!
crap, now that I know who it is I can't see your picture! It's a red 'x'... **sigh**
Ok late post, but when I had my wisdom teeth taken out I spent alot of time on the computer coming across random sites, which led me here, which made me join in on the fun. So the day I got my wisdom teeth out was the day I joined BWW. Good luck Lexi!!
Which just goes to show, Dancin, that you never know what good will come out of what seems like a yucky experience at the time. Or something like that.
Yes, it's another chapter in the saga of the necklace. More HQ pictures from WeSparkle have been posted, yielding our best look yet at the mystery medallion:
ETA: No, I'm not sure why I'm writing like that today.
Lexi, to answer your question from last night, if I took out the garbage the night before, the raccoons would scatter it all over the street, I hear there's such a thing as a raccoon-proof garbage can, but haven't found it.

woah! Thanks Chloe, that's the clearest picture yet! Now we can actually see it.
A number three? What's above it?
It's so ...wierd.
So now we can see it, but I'm still totally lost as to its significance.
Here's an earlier one of just one side, if it's any help. Anyone have a guess as to what the banner at the bottom says?

I have absolutely no idea.
I'm starting to think that Adam found it at a thrift shop or something, thought it looked "cool," and just started to wear it. I really can't even come up with a theory about the significance of the number three.
Heh. Chest hair. Gross.
I am so intrigued by this necklace! I think that's probably true that he just thought it looked cool (heh), but it's such fun to try to read some sort of deeper significance into it.
To each his own, Mandi.
You might be right, Lexi. He seems to have a sort of uniform now - jeans, a dress shirt, the brown jacket and that necklace. Otherwise it would be hard to explain why he wore it all the time unless it had some serious significance.
It would be nice to have something bigger, like, say, a movie or show to be intrigued by, but this will have to do for now.

Mandi, it's better than his chest being stubbly from shaving it. :)
I also meant to mention that if you look at the same HQ photo that you took the necklace image from (well, one of them, anyway), you can clearly see his far-too-dark eyelashes.
I just noticed that three of us have avatars from Chess. That's pretty nifty.
I'm not sure which one you mean, Lexi. His eyelaashes seem about the same as they were for all the Rent promo stuff to me, which *was* pretty dark. I do notice that his eyebrows and beard seem lighter than his hair, which makes me wonder if he's actually darkened it rather than letting it go to its natural color.

Um, let me find the photo...

The tips totally look darkened there, although maybe they've been that way for a while and I've just failed to notice it.
Once again... Adam, please do something, so we don't have to reduce ourselves to talking about your dyed eyelashes.
