Thanks for posting that, jlc. I'm at work and don't have much time to check around today. I saw your comment, Emcee, and I hope Adam does too, though it doesn't sound like he spends too much time on his myspace.
as much as i hate to admit it...
I love it.
I saw that, and I was like "dude, if you hate to admit it, you should not be there. Come home!"
Of course, in case of the rare event that he *does* read the comments (and gets past those posted in quadruple sets), I couldn't say that. Gotta be at least a little supportive.
I think it's spelled "telly," no?
Well, maybe he's going French. It's tele in French.
Psh, spelling. Adam has his own version.
I thought you did a nice job of saying "COME BACK TO NEW YORK, FOR GOD'S SAKE!" without actually putting it that way.
Is it just me, or is sixteen bars an insanely short amount of time for an audition song?
*gets out red pen to edit Adam's spelling*

Yes. I mean, I just couldn't be like "ADAM! Un-sell your house, ditch the past two months of your life and haul your adorable ass back where you belong. Love, me."
French... well, maybe he's living up to his name's origin? heh.
It does seem short, but I don't know what the norm is, Atrias.
I'm glad he's going to do a show with a full band and hope he brings it here. Maybe he'll do that show at Bay Shore, assuming that's still on.
I hope so.
Not that he'll listen to me, but he SHOULD listen to er, common sense.
Okay, off to child-wrangle. sigh.

I just had a horrible day at work, but this was a nice treat upon arriving home. :) Even if he can't type, the entry sounded really heartfelt and sweet.
What does everyone think of the potential Broadway/cover material show? For as much as I initially was kind of "eh" about most of Adam's solo music, it's really grown on me, and it kind of saddens me to hear that he apparently won't be doing any of his own material at these shows. However, I suppose that's what the separate college tour is for.
Like Em said, though, he better do a show in NYC this fall. He has to! For me.
Hey Lexi, still have my fingers crossed for Bay Shore, though NYC would obviously be easier. Just as he's done a few Broadway songs in his recent shows, maybe he'll sneak in a couple of his own for this cover show.
Back to work for me too, I'm afraid.

Well, the blog entry said exclusively (or as Adam would say, "exclusivly" ) Broadway/cover material, so I assumed that he wouldn't sneak any of his own material into the cover shows, but plans could always change.
Talk to you later!
"Good morning everyone! I just realized that it's been about a year since I first fell in love with RENT. Which means it's also been a year since I first fell in love with Adam. Yay for me!"
Same. High five!
Oh, Mandi! I've missed Nun!Adam.
I thought that it was sort of interesting that he mentioned doing exclusively Broadway songs and covers... I just remember how surprised we all were that he'd be doing Broadway stuff at all. I wonder, is he still going to be writing/recording original stuff?

I think so... ? I think he's mentioned that he's going to release a new album of presumably his own material this winter, but it seems strange that he'd mention everything BUT that in his blog. I'll be sad if he's not writing music anymore, although I guess I wouldn't object to an album filled with Broadway songs, either.
I read the entry again and it seems like he's shilling his wife's cookbook more than talking about his own plans. Whatever works for him!
Em--there's a couple of regional theatres not too far. Westchester came to mind immediately, but also Papermill. *crosses fingers*
Ahh I missed Nun!Adam.
And Adam's grammar could use some work

Aw, that made me smile...misspellings and all
Since I complained about it, I passed the menu test, so I'm officially working now!

Hello everyone! Havn't been talking a lot on this thread in a while. Due to finals, school, studying, etc. But yesterday was the last day of school for me! I had two big finals today, Global and Math. Glad that's over and done with! Phew. Tomorrow is only Spanish and then my next test isn't until June 20th.
Adam's blog made me happy. I love how he doesn't know where the 'shift' key is, or what it is for that matter It'll be great to hear him sing some more Broadway showtunes. Lexi, as you said before, I also would have liked to see him perform some of his own stuff as well.
That's great Amber! Congrats!

Well, he overuses scare quotes (as do I, so I can't talk), so I'd imagine that he's familiar with the key itself but is too lazy to use it on a regular basis.
You're talking about a man who thinks it's spelled "unfortunently."

And "thateres."
At least he wrote "I can't spell" next to "unfortunently," right? That's me when I attempt to spell "coincendentally" without spell check.
Right, at least he is aware.
Hey everybody! I'm celebrating my end of the school year by coming here, since I've been busy, like Alex. But yay summer!
I think it's cute in his blog, that he promotes Cybele's book. I suppose Adam doesn't really need to worry about typing & spelling, since he's a singer. But at least it's readable.
