If I cropped the other dude out, then Raul lost half of his face, so I guess that piece of the other guy's face has to stay. heh.

Thanks Bunny! I thought so too. I'm not a morning person at all, but it did make me think there may be something to this early hours stuff afterall. lol

mmm, nice pic, Emcee. I kinda think it's funny that the other guy is partially in there. Adds an air of intrigue. The mysterious right eye... re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part ten

I can't see the pictures. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part ten

I've been having problems with broadway.com for a week now- every time I go there, this AmEx ad on both sidebars disables the entire screen. I can't even contact them to complain, because when I go to the "Feedback" section, the ad comes up and I can't click on the boxes to fill them in to send a message. I don't have this problem anywhere else but broadway.com and it's really obnoxious.

Maybe you should try a different browser, skittles.

Going back to the blog for a moment, I hope Adam meant by saying he might turn up on TV that he's had some fairly promising auditions lately.

I think I'm going to camp out in here for a bit.

I hope he's had some good auditions too. Lets just hope he doesn't end up in some poorly written sitcom that'll be far too painful to watch.

Hey Mandi - maybe it's just good luck, but Adam has so far chosen projects pretty well. I gather he's turned things that he didn't like down too.

I just noticed your signature, Emcee, and it reminds me of something in a book review I read recently, about how engineering advances are only made after something falls down, because it's only when structures fail that their limits are discovered.

This really has nothing to do about Adam, but the main board got off-topic, and I feel safe here. But I'm excited that I'm going to be seeing Shoshana Bean in Wicked, I don't know much about Megan Hilty, but Sho is someone I have actually heard before. I've never seen someone whom I've known beforehand. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part ten.

That's wonderful, Sarah. As most of you know, I'm not really a Wicked fan, but Shoshana is the first person who made me even like it a little bit. I know a lot of people aren't fans of her, but I personally think her voice is absolutely amazing.

Actually, there's a way to kind of connect this to Adam... during the My Favorite Broadway: The Love Songs (or something to that extent) show, Shoshana is singing in the choir behind Adam during his rendition of Seasons of Love. :-P

Aww, yay, an Adam update! (I'm late, I know.re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part ten) I find it so strange that a 35 year old man types like that, but whatever floats his boat...

Maybe I'll make a splash at Chicago next year by demanding they get Adam. hmmm.

Yay, Sarah, that's exciting. I saw Megan when she was an understudy and she was very good. I haven't seen Shoshana, though.

Hey Elphie - Lexi and I have decided that it's stream of consciousness typing, just like the way he talks. You really should try that at Chicago. It might be a refreshing change for them.

I've never seen Wicked, but I hope you have a great time, Sarah.

Maybe I will try it. It would probably make a nice change from all the boring people they have. re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part ten

Elphie, upon reading your message I thought you meant that you were going to try typing like Adam does, and my first thought was "no!" I can deal with that style of typing in Adam's biannual blog entries, but I have to admit that it would be difficult to read posts in that vein often.

Anyway, I thought Chloe had an interesting thought in saying that maybe Adam doesn't openly communicate with his fans as often because he's very transparent in doing so. I think it's easier to chalk that up to a lack of compuer knowledge, but it's an interesting thought regardless. :)

Chloe, the context in which it came to me was one of distinct emotional weight, but that's definitely a good application for it.

Poor Adam and his spelling woes. heh.

I'm kind of glad he doesn't spell-check. It makes me feel like I'm hearing him more directly.

I'm sure it's true he's not any kind of internet addict, but maybe not wanting to reveal himself too much is also a motive. To me it's all part of the paradox of him becoming an actor. The mantra you hear about acting over and over again is that you shouldn't even try it unless it's the one thing in life you have to do. That isn't Adam at all. He's the "reluctant Broadway star" as Anthony Tomassini put it.

From various things he's said, like in the Rent Bible about "don't be a wuss" and doing what he knew he had to do, I've concluded that it's difficult for him to expose himself in the way that actors must. Even performing his music feels a little scarily revealing to him, as he described in one of the tour interviews.

It seems like it's just... too much work for him, the whole computer thing, more than it's him wanting to be private -- cause he could definitely please his fans by just updating on his public, work life, and doing it more than twice a year. But, he said it well when he said "it's just not my thing." re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part ten

I'm sure you're right about that, Emcee. What I'm talking about might just be another layer on top of that.

#2223re: The Official Adam Pascal Love Thread, part ten

Chloe... you're trying to say that it's part of the reason why he's seemingly reluctant to give updates on his life more than the total reason, right? That's at least what I got out of it.

I get the same overall sense about him. He's very honest about external things, but he also has a certain sense of privateness about him as well. It's strange how open and honest he is in his songs but never seems to really want to openly delve into the meaning behind them. I guess you'd only notice this if you listened closely on audio recordings of his concerts, but he seems to say maybe one line before the song about it, and says it in kind of an uncomfortable way.

I guess this whole paradoxical persona is one of the reasons why I lean toward feeling Adam is actually more of an introvert than an extrovert, even if he seems very warm-spirited in general. I don't know how many of you are interested in MBTI types -- there was a thread on this board about them a month ago or so. I know I've talked to some of you privately about them because I've always found them interesting. For those of you who are, he seems very ISFP to me.

I have such a hard time detecting extraversion or introversion, but I just looked up the ISFP description, and I think that seems pretty accurate based on what little I know about Adam (the type is even called the Composer). This part stood out to me:

"Composers (perhaps ten per cent of the population) seem to excel in the "fine arts," having not only a natural grace of movement, but also an innate sense what fits and what doesn't fit in artistic compositions. Of course, composing must not be thought of as only writing music, but as bringing into harmonious form any aspect of the world of the five senses, and so when an especially gifted painter, sculptor, choreographer, film maker, songwriter, chef, decorator, or fashion designer shows up, he or she is likely to be an Composer."

He seems to be a sensing-oriented person, rather than intuitive. Updated On: 6/14/06 at 10:17 PM
