AMAZING, but expensive.

I've never even HEARD of Whole Foods! I bet we don't have it here.

It's a drawback.

But we had an iron-chef cookout between Global Studies House and Forbes House (each with 30 people), and decided to go grocery shopping at Whole Foods. We totally beat them down.

They had HYDROPONIC BASIL. Come on, that's awesome. XD

But it's such a hike. I can't go very often cuz it would mean exerting way more effort than necessary.

The Giant Eagle grocery store is so much closer... and cheaper.... Oy.

The closest one to me is like 20 minutes by train.

Well, no bus actually goes directly to the Whole Foods, here. I'd have to walk for about 15 minutes... take the bus for another 5. And even then, the buses are so erratic, that it's easier to just walk for 45 minutes.

But then the walk back is a pain in the ass.

... Giant Eagle, man. It's good enough.

I swore to myself not to eat after 10 PM.

I am fighting that freshman-15 if it's the last thing I do...

*bum* for the love of Mr. Pascal.

Whole Foods...errrr...overrated? I rather go to Fairway than the whole foods my family occasionally goes to when we're out. Yay, for the the giant S&S relatively close to my house that has most of the stuff I like from Whole Foods...and I can easily find mass produced, processed junk (that I shouldn't be eating) if I feel pleased to do so.

*practices mooing* It's my lucky day...

I wonder how long we can talk about supermarkets and food?

I feel sick, so... no food for me. Sad.

Sigh. Seven minutes til class. And it's SPANISH, too. bah. It's the last time I EVER have to take a Spanish class, though. That's happy.

How goes it, Lari?

Wireless Internet? Oh yes. FOOD

And I know how you feel. I've had Spanish class since the seventh grade... And that's why I stopped taking the language. *cackles and skips into French*

I want to try my hand at Russian and Japanese sometime, too.

Not even close. A bunch weren't in yet, so I couldn't get those. I'm getting a few used, so I'm emailing the people back as we speak. Hopefully I can meet up with most of them tomorrow. My stupid account won't let me take out more than $300 a day, so I have to wait until tomorrow for the rest, gah.

It's hot out, and I wore jeans! What a walk!

Why don't they just lend you books, like they do in grade school? Are they just that cheap?

Allie

I've often wondered the same thing, Atrias. I suppose some people like to write notes in the actual books, and highlight sections, though. I'm still searching the used site! I could care less if they've been highlighted all over.

Some people like to keep their text books and depending on the subject I can see doing so.. It's also a lot easier for the school not to have to worry about trying to get Loaned books back. You're education is no longer "free" you have to pay for every aspect of it.
