Friday bump! I'm leaving in a few hours for the bus station, yaaaay! Although, after the adventure I had last year the one time I took the bus, I'm a little nervous. But, this time, it's only two and a half hours, and there's no snowstorm.

hello everyone.

forgive the group email, i wanted to touch base with you all with a little update.
i had an amazing year, filming "Rent" with my old friends was a great experience,
and we're all excited for the release of the film in a few weeks.

the guys at sh-k-boom are renewing their efforts to spread the word about my solo
CDs "Civilian" and "Model Prisoner" as the "Rent" film gets wide coverage. i'm
donating all of my personal profits from these albums to children's charities,
starting with st. jude's children's hospital. as we've done from the start, we're
asking that you, my dedicated fans, help spread the word. i'm very fortunate that
this film will introduce not only "Rent" and Jonathan Larson to millions of new
people, but there's an opportunity to introduce my music and sh-k-boom to some of
those people as well. whatever you can do to help is always appreciated, you all
have made it possible for me to be where i am today. writing reviews on Amazon,
hitting the many "blogs" that are out there, message boards, chat rooms, is a really
powerful way to spread the word. both albums are up on iTunes now as well. if
you're in nyc, drop a line to battalion@sh-k-boom.com, they're looking for some
people to help do some street team things in the city.

thank you all so much. if you'd rather not get group emails from me, just drop me a
line asking to be removed. i'll do my best to keep you up-to-date with news as the
movie release date draws closer.

all the best,
adam

Awww, yay! I should sign up. *is a bad Adam fan* oops.

How fun would it be to do that street team thing! I think I might go a bit crazy, though. I tend to do that when discussing my favorite performers.

I'm tempted, maybe as an outlet for my silly enthusiasm. But... if they're truly gearing up for an explosion of publicity, the selfish side of me wonders if I really want to watch that happen right in front of my eyes. I know that's stupid and... stupid, but, meh.

I also feel SORT OF silly, but... I could do a good job, right?

Emcee, darling, you would do a mahvelous job! F*ck reality
But, in all seriousness, I think you would be perfect for this, as long as you can talk when talking about him. As if that makes sense... If I were in NYC, I would totally do it with you.
I understand your selfishness, but it would be better to be PART of that than simply watching it, right?

"Buy this CD or I will haunt your dreams!!"

I can talk *about* him, just not *to* him. So, I think this would be safe. I mean, I'd feel like the world's biggest nerd, but if I love him as much as I say I do, shouldn't I want to help out?

I think so, Em. But you've got a good point. I'm not so sure I'm ready for an Adam explosion...it'll be...scary. You have every right to be hesitant..wow, it's pouring outside! All of a sudden...crazy. But yeah, I say hey the declaration of permenance of the siggy is a start F*ck reality

Pouring here, too.

I'm doing my part in pseudo-anonmity with the signature. I'll see if I feel like actually going and doing it. "Legit" attachment somehow scares me, even if this isn't much more than a fan round-up.

Yes, gorgeous picture.

I will be sprung from my rewarding but extremely tiring job next Wednesday, and am very excited that the RENT promotional tour is getting underway the very next day, and that Adam will be doing some benefits as well. I'm going to try to go to both if I can.

I'm really curious to hear about the 24 Hour Plays one -- I can't go to both, but I am going to try to go to the other one.

The big concert certainly sounds wonderful. Will you be able to stand it? F*ck reality

But I'm really impressed that he's trying the 24 Hour Play thing. I remember reading about it last year, and it sounded very, very challenging for even the most experienced performers. I guess he's really decided he's an actor and is diving into the deep end of the pool, as usual.

I think my hormones will absolutely consume ever fiber of my being, and I will die.

I read something saying that even the best drama/film actors have failed at the 24 Hour Play thing. He's brave.

He does have one big advantage, though, having spent all those years on stage in front of an audience, dealing with the various mishaps that can occur in a live situation. He doesn't seem to get very nervous either. His biggest problem will probably be memorizing his lines.

Well, it's fine for me to talk about going to these things, but I'd better get on the stick tomorrow and see about actually ordering tickets before they're all gone. I have just worked my ass off and intend to spend some of that overtime money!

I wonder if tickets for it would go so fast, being that they have their high price tag.

I have no idea, but I figure I'd better not take any chances. Besides, the $100 tickets are no more expensive than a normal full-price seat.

::tries to figure out how "normal" got into that sentence::
