Nah. Same old stuff. Adam's doing two benefits, though -- articles on Playbill if you search under his name.

Good to see you, Diva. And Atrias, I don't think one little mistake merits getting kicked off the council. But just watch it in the future... F*ck reality

Today there was a press release about yet another benefit, this one having taken place yesterday in LA. Here are some excerpts:

The lights of the Great White Way and the stars of Hollywood shone brightly tonight as some of the biggest stars from stage and screen came together for an event hosted by Catherine Zeta-Jones benefiting the Motion Picture & Television Fund.

The event, called "A Fine Romance," celebrated the love affair between Hollywood and the theatre, with performances from movies that became Broadway musicals and Broadway musicals that became movies...

The event was held at a private residence in Holmby Hills, Calif., and was attended by more than 400 celebrities and entertainment industry figures.

The evening began with a cocktail reception, which was followed by live celebrity performances honoring musicals from stage and screen. Zeta-Jones performed "All That Jazz" and "Nowadays," both from the hit musical and movie "Chicago." Other performances included "Will & Grace" co-star Megan Mullally singing "Whatever Happened To Mabel" from "Mack & Mabel," Kristin Chenoweth ("Wicked") who sang a rendition of "I Could Have Danced All Night" from "My Fair Lady," Tony Award winner Marissa Jaret Winokur performing "Good Morning Baltimore" from the hit Broadway musical "Hairspray" and Adam Pascal, who appears in both the Broadway production and upcoming film of "Rent," singing "One Song Glory."...

Adam is obviously making a serious attempt to put himself out there to the film industry.

Whew! Thanks DRS, where did you find those?

They must be from '96 or '97, when he had just stopped being a personal trainer. I wonder what it was like being "trained" by him.

This week has been SUCH a pick-up of Adam love. Seems that way every time he returns from oblivion.

Right, I guess vacation time is done.

Thanks, Liz. Did you all see the post from Sh-k-zan saying the myspace site is legitimate? And I see it's showing his two upcoming benefits. Couldn't go to the pics page, though, since I'm not a member. (It seems to be part of my personality to resist membership in things - it took me months to join BWW.)

I'm the same way about membership things. It took me five months to join bww!

I'm surprised about that, Chloe -- but just because it's legit doesn't mean that he actually does it himself. Someone at shkboom probably has a hand in it.... it just... doesn't seem like something he'd do. I mean, he doesn't even check his email but once a year!

I didn't see Sh-k-zan talking about the legitimacy, I'll go check the posts. I did however "shoot" an email, lol. I'm all for spreading the Adam love in Connecticut! F*ck reality.

I still don't know if I want to/should do it. I guess those are two different notions, but I don't even know why I'm hesitant. I mean, it's not like I only am admant about him online, I have no problem being vocal about it in person... though, much moreso amongst friends. Like... when I got my Rent CD, the girl at Barnes and Noble started asking about him, and I just nodded and said I liked him a lot... didn't want to come off weird, I guess.

Maybe that's it.

The body count is getting high in here...

::revives Jess::

Yes, she posted that on the thread about myspace, but I agree that it doesn't mean he set it up himself. Sh-K-Boom is obviously going into heavy publicity mode now, as they should. Good to know there isn't an imposter doing it though.

luvtheEmcee, this is your conscience speaking: DO IT. You know you want to. Be a part of the Adam love-spreading, not a by-stander. *hypnosis* You know you waaant toooo.

Okay, sorry. I'm weird.

Maybe he'll actually get his butt on stage with a guitar again soon. I mean, it would make sense, wouldn't it? But then again, if they want his name out there in the movie industry, a concert for 100 already-established fans in a Broadway community venue won't help him.

Well, he is doing those Broadway benefits - and by the way, I've got tickets to both now.

I understand your feelings, Emcee, but it sounds like zan was talking more about mailings than button-holing people on the street. I really have no idea though.
