'Night, Alix! I'm sure there will be TONS to read and see when you get up tomorrow!
I'm counting on it.
Edit: on second thought, looks like someone's back. I can wait a few more minutes.

Thank you!!!

Oops, I got a little excited there, hehe.

me too Allie.
I'll post mine in a few minutes.
I know this is super-cliche, but... seeing Adam on stage is this absolutely indescribable experience. I know he's not the best performer out there, but there are few things I could go and do for an evening that make me as purely, genuinely happy as it does to see him up there, singing his heart out. I was probably about eight feet from the stage, and when he and Anthony came on, the reception was huge. It was nice to see him in an intimate space again, just... just right there. I forgot how connected he is to his audience. I don't think I've smiled like that in a long, long time. While Anthony was singing, Adam was sort of looking around, and for a moment he looked right at me. And as stupid as this sounds, those little moments with someone you love seeing perform so much... those are really special. His eyes kept coming back to mine, but I was too shy to hold the contact.
There's just this ridiculous, fangirly warm-fuzzy feeling that I can't get rid of. It was so good to have him back.

It was quite an electric moment when they walked out on the stage.
Awww. I'm all gooy inside from reading that. I'm glad it was so wonderful.
The band was AMAZING. Totally electrifying performance.
It was funny -- after the show, I ran into Craig, and he asked my friends if they had fun. Then he was like I know YOU had fun! Etoile and I were introduced to each other with our real names, and she was like "you're luvtheemcee, aren't you? I could tell by the enthusiasm!"

Gooey! That's the word, Alix.
That's so adorable, Em. "I could tell by the enthusiasm!"
Electric... gooey... all kinds of wonderful things happened tonight!
And that's the proper spelling. I knew "gooy" didn't look right. My friends make of my spelling.
Well, we knew what you meant! I'm looking at that RENT movie Bloomingdale's thing on the main board. What goes on at those things? Any performances, or just some speeches?
That's what I'm wondering. I can't believe it's on a day when I can actually go. I might have to go no matter what it is to make up for things that I'm sure I won't be able to go to later on.
Well, I rather invited myself to go sit on Boobs' lap for Adam's performance, as he had a perfect seat. So when they were announced, I very gracefully hurdled over. That's enthusiasm for ya!
At Phantom's the cast was there, spoke a bit, and looked pretty. Then the orchestra played. That was... about it.
Yay for perfect seats!
I guess they'll probably do SOL, if anything. What are the chances of meeting/pictures?
It's the day after the 24 Hour Plays, which happen to be on the 24th. I might skip this one. I'm not really big on store windows.
So that was Boobs you were sitting with - I wondered who you were cuddling up with, Emcee.

Aw, guys, I really want to get to NY sometime soon. You all just have so much fun together!! Honestly? That's just as good of a reason for a trip as seeing shows, I think.
Chloe, you can always go look at the window another time! Sure, the cast won't be there, but... neither will the huge crowd and all the press! And maybe broadway.com will do a video on the event, like they did for Phantom last year.
I really want to go the Plays but "the funds aren't unlimited" as my mother would say. I've been considering it though.
The windows should be up at least until Christmas. At Phantom, if you were in the right place you could get some quick autographs, but security was very high. My friend and I hung around for a while inside and got to meet Patrick, though.
Hope you can come, Alix. A straight play is such a new thing for Adam (even if it's only ten minutes long), and I'm very curious to see how he does with it. Tracie Thoms is involved too, so I wonder if they'll end up working together.
And Ben Shenkman! But it's also $125. I keep thinking, I could see 4 shows for that price. I'm so bad at spending money because I'm so reluctant to do it, except for occasions when I randomly don't care (like the Flea Market). For a piece of paper, you get great stuff! I'm so bad with decisions. It's not a good trait.
ooooooh, Ben Shenkmen. LOVE.
