Em, I'm taking generic ibuprofen, because it's all we had. Unfortunately, they set in right as I got to school, so there was nothing I could do. Bleh! My friends kept asking me why I looked so funny.

Heh, I think I know what line Chloe is talking about, and there is actually some scientific justification for that.

I just take generic ibuprofen, and it works great, as long as I take it the MOMENT I start to feel bad, or even before I start cramping. Then, a hot water bottle and a nap, and all is well again!

I think we ALL know which line Chloe is talking about!

I only take ibuprofen when I'm really in agony, because painkillers tend to make me tired/woozy. I'm sure on a scientific level chocolate is actually bad for cramps because of the caffeine and all, but eating chocolate makes *me* feel better, so that's how I usually cope.

Dr. Ruth is about four feet tall and 80 years old now. You don't see her around very much, but she was a big deal at one time. She was a sex therapist who became very popular on talk shows and such. Somebody said recently that she's best known for being the first person to say "penis" on TV. She has a strong accent too.

Sue Johansen is Canadian! She does college tours in the fall (she's never come here, though). I remember when she was on Degrassi in the 80's for an episode. Fun stuff.
