I think it would have worked if they put after Will I? I mean, the song has sort of lost its point now...it's kind of sad!
Emcee has become the BWW representative for all things related to this movie
And I really enjoyed Love Heals, it was really catchy
No, I don't want to do that!
what? be the representative?

The rest of us saw the movie too.
Anyway...
The thread title, I assume, is about What You Own. How did you guys feel about that scene?
*snicker* I shouldn't laugh at hard as I do at it.
I want to know what HE was thinking when he shot it.

Then, I guess we did not miss anything. I heard the last Seasons from the men's room! Thanks Em!
We had a nice group of four adults and five tweens - all girls - they loved the movie.
hmmmm well maybe not the representative. just the person people look to for answers, you're very well informed. I mean just look at the way people responded to your review - I think it speaks for itself.
The cliff scene didn't actually make me giggle as much as when he did the Titanic thing during Glory.

It just seemed like such an image change for Roger. The white cotton shirt did it for me, heh.

I wasn't a fan. It was too cliche, but it didn't ruin the movie or anything. The song deserved better, thoguh.
I'm going to go. 'night, all.
as nice and liberating as it must of felt for him to sing his heart out on top of a cliff, or I should say *The Cliff*, he must have felt just a little bit silly.

I'll agree that the song deserved better. Good night, Nia!
How old are the girls, brdlwyr?
What Titanic thing, Atrias? The arms? Those are the Glory arms!
I thought it was a little... well, it was flattering the way people responded to my review. I was just kind of shocked out how overwhelming that response was. I felt like I walked into a HUGE surprise party, with people I didn't know from a hole in the wall just jumping out everywhere. It was a little unnerving, in a way. You know, like, if I posted "JUMP OFF YOUR LOCAL BRIDGE!!" would people listen?
'night, nia.
As far as the cliff, I get what they were trying to do, and I think the intention is a good idea; it just LOOKS weird.
I know they're they're the Glory Arms, Em, but they just made me think, "I'm the king of the woooorld!"

*frantically looks at map for nearest bridge* Ugh, it's so FAR!
Oh. My. GOD. Okay, I can die happy now. After many, many months of searching, I FINALLY just heard Josh Groban's Anthem from the Chess concert. That is SO going to be played on repeat. GAAAAH.

Adam can be king of the world! *snicker*
Allie, I had that. You should've asked!

Hey all!
I liked the cliff scene. It looked a little... odd, I guess, but I really liked the idea behind it. I always thought that Roger's song would come to him in a sort of "eureka" moment, which I think if where the cliff somes in. It's like he's walking and thinking and all of a sudden it hits him.
yea I get that they were trying to provide a contrast but it just comes out of nowhere. And its a shame, because the Mark half of WYO is great, and the Roger part is just ehh.
They wanted it to be different from everything else but it became *too* different. Then different became slightly corny. The brightness, the white shirt, the wind, the sunglasses. Would Alphabet City Roger ever be caught dead in a white flowy shirt with sunglasses?
heh. You said eureka and I pictured Adam doing that pose they have Raul in for the Chitty promo shots; pointing up at nothing.

I didn't even think of that, Em. He's GOOD! I was actually thinking of Josh the other week when I went to see Harry Potter. They had a trailer for a movie called Lady in the Water, and his song, Mi Mancherai, was playing. SO gorgeous.
I thought the cliff thing sounded cheesy as hell when I read about it and saw a small animation of it, but somehow it worked on the big screen. Oddly enough, I had the exact opposite reaction to Tango:Maureen.
