Heh, Em, I felt the same way the first time. I was all, "Whoa there!" but hey, if it helps him get into character... Video Blogs to come ...

Yeah. At first I was like "dude, that's tacky." But... well, it's kinda hot. When I first saw the trailer, I was definitely like "whoa, buddy!"

They probably did it because it was as close to a hot-and-heavy love scene as they were going to get in, so they had to sell it.

I wonder if like... they had to have such specific direction as "tongue action!!" or if they just did it. That must be awkward.

I LITERALLY can not stop laughing at the alien.

I'm guessing he took the initiative... I just *cannot* picture Chris Columbus saying, "Ok, that was good, but this time -- try to make your tongue a bit more obvious!"

Heh, I so want to write a screenplay, just so I can include "tongue action" as a direction.

Another gem from IMDB:

"Does anyone else think that Adam Pascal really resembles Ryan Seacrest b/c sometimes I can't tell the difference."

It's part of his new mission to "act." TONGUE!
I love it because it looks like a real, romantic kiss. I'm so sappy.

RYAN SEACREST?!

ROFL at that IMDB post. They do sort of have the same hairstyle at the moment, but unless Adam decides to spend all of his spare time in a tanning booth, that's as far as the resemblance goes.

I have a really random comment but it's been bugging me for a while. In LMC, when Roger sings "Your...your shivering", to me (and I could be crazy), the first "your" does not sound like Adam. It almost sounds like Rosario. Am I hearing things, or does anyone else remotely agree?

That's it, no more IMDB for me. I won't sleep tonight if I read anything else.

Personally, I think most of LMC sounds... different. I generally like his voice on the movie soundtrack, but I think he fell flat on LMC. He sounds cute on the "fingers" part, though. Video Blogs to come ...

at least let people think Adam resembles Ryan Seacrest if that's gonna stop them from thinking he looks like Micheal Jackson.

I like the way LMC sounds on the movie soundtrack. He sorta sounds a bit awkward and unsure of himself, which works acting-wise for that song, while also managing to sound all tender in the appropriate parts of the song. And that squeak in the "oh no-I mean, you do-have a nice-I mean" part is just too aww-inducing.

I'm sad that the squeak isn't very audible in the movie, though. You can make it out better on the CD.

I felt like it was backwards that way. The squeak bothered me on the CD because it was too much "acting" to really work in a song. But in the movie, it was barely there in comparison. It should have been more obvious in the movie than on the CD, because then the acting would have made sense.

A bit random, but Adam is 5'10? That's what it says on his IMDB page. Hm, I always thought he looked taller than that! Maybe it's because he's the tallest out of the Rent cast.
