JL, I get up at 5:30 too, but nothing could possibly get me up at that time on weekends.
I always feel so guilty about waking up early on the weekend when my roommate is still sound asleep. I mean, I don't want to just lie in bed when I'm not going to fall back to sleep, but what else can I do without unintentionally waking her up?

Billboard, you ought to take the place of Emcee's roommate...
I'm praying that no one responds to the latest inflammatory Rent thread on the main board. The first one lasted way too long, let's allow this one to die quickly.
Uh oh...
*thinks happy thoughts* Tomorrow's the last day of school! Tomorrow's the last day of school!
Tomorrow's my last exam!
Too late already. But think - annoying as hell as that post may be, what could be more deflating than for the poster to watch it slowly drift down the board with zero replies? Either that, or have to pathetically reply to himself.
ETA: Congratulations you two - hope you enjoy your time off.

Me too, Elphie!
Sort of. I have tons of homework over break. When do you go back?
I go back Jan. 4.
BUT, I still have to finish my other college apps, and there's a lot I need to do on those! I'm also going to have school work, which is going to be sad. Ah well, at least I'll be able to sleep late!

I go back Jan. 3rd. Much too short a break, methinks.
Good luck on those. One of my friends started an essay last Thursday and turned it in at eleven thirty that night- a half hour before deadline.
Much too short, Nia? We get out on Friday and go back on the 2nd!
It is short this year! We usually get 15 days, and it's 13 this year for us.
Ugh, I would die! I've already procastinated too much for my own comfort as it is!

Atrias, that's insane! *hug* I'm sorry. Skip school in protest.
*sends Elphie good luck*
I will! Except I have to go tomorrow to see if I made callbacks! *prays*
Good luck with that, Atrias. What were you auditioning for?
Crazy For You. Which is sort of bad, because I can't tap dance to save my life, but whatever.
Adam never lets details like that stop him, why should you?
*catches good luck* Thanks, Nia!
Did any of you see the Broadway Beat show about the Hair concert? It can be ordered on tape and I was wondering what it was like.

Good luck Atrias! And Chloe where can you order this?

I think I saw it, but I don't remember it being all that wonderful.
Well 4th viewing of movie Lotsa different thoughts to sort through...
Guess I'll start w/ just what I took out of it before i bring my friend into it. Okay..you know how I've mentioned always have perhaps an odd moment that on no other viewing makes me cry but one viewing will come along that i really dwell on it and it makes me cry? Tonight's moment was during "Finale" when Collins grabs Mark and brings him into the hug...I prob had some of the cuts of Halloween and Goodbye Love in my head and I just thought about the idea of him detach from being alive through filming and what that hug and "bringing him in" to...live from Collins really meant. So yeah that got to me.
Paid attention to the sweatpants, chair, and waved at Wax Lion And okay Adam stuffing his face...OMG...I'm assuming this is what you guys found so funny, I watched a bit and saw him munching here and there and was like why is this so funny? But then during the song I realized in the back that everyone at the table was standing and watching the fight...except Roger. Roger was sitting down, had his back turned, and was just eating. Totally oblivious. Finally Mimi had to kind of tap him to get him to notice that this huge/song fight is going on. I laughed so hard at that part--b/c that is soo something I would do! Between my love of food and how I can be spacey and oblivious...twas funny.
Also decided I love the way he says "what" to Mimi in Light My Candle instead of the way he did it on the OBC.
And just, the more I see it, the more I accept it, the more I see decisions I was upset about aren't that important, etc.
K, now my friend...see she's the kind of person after a show/movie I'll say what did you think she'll say "it was good." And not a word more, I'm the kind of person that loves to talk and analyze things and it drives me crazy. So I asked her to try to be attentive b/c I really would like to hear more from her than it's good, esp. since she's the first person I saw it w/ who never saw the show. Her response was amusing: "Yeah, all I know it's about a guy w/ Aids." Well...more than one, but...it's a start.
Funny moments like Adam dancing in La Vie Boheme where I'd crack up and she had no clue why...oh and she went to the bathroom for most of LVB and half of I should tell you, what a bad time to go!
Her only question was after Angel and Collins both said they have AIDS, she asked me if everyone does I said no you'll see. After Angel says Mark can come even w/o AIDS I turned to her said see Mark does not have AIDS, she gave me a sarcastic yes I'm aware face.
Otherwise, she said there's nothing she could think of off the top of her head that she was confused about. She said she really wants to see the show, more so when I played some of the cut songs and such. Definitely loved the music and story...was moved by it even though she never cries and told me she thought Mimi died, I told her it's understandable and probably a normal first reaction...Umm said it was good...oh yeah wasn't a fan of Over the moon...
But something got me really thinking...don't rememebr why it came up, but she basically revealed that she's not a fan of seeing men in drag, two men kiss or two women kiss. Not that she thinks it's wrong or wouldn't tolerate it or that she didn't appreciate like Angel and Collins' relationship and was certainly moved by it, but just something she doesn't like to see. Of course I jumped on this was like, what, why, you have no problem w/ a guy and a girl, blah blah blah, and she made me feel like I was overreacting, reiterated she doesn't think it's wrong or anything. So I dunno. My instinct is to say even that viewpoint is kinda wrong, though not as bad as it could be, but I dunno, is it more of just like...something she doesn't like such as a movie? Is it different strokes for different folks? What do you guys think?
Hopefully will take her to the show soon.
Billboard--8AM--ouch! I had a choice between a Friday class and an 8AMer, elected for giving up Fridays. I'm pretty fortunate next semester, earliest classes 11AM w/ a telecourse(essentially a course I take at home), an independent study and flute which is worked out w/ the teacher when I come in and such. But for you and everyone else, it's good that you don't sleep too much later on weekends than you do over the week--it contributes to insomnia and can severely throw off sleep schedules and can be unhealthy(says a person who once woke up at 8:15AM on a Thursday morning and the next day on Friday woke up at 4PM...)
Woah...I thought Em wrote Billboard's post about not wanting to wake up the roomie on weekend mornings I was about to scream that if you're kept up weeknights like **** you should care about waking her up on weekends...oopsy, glad that's not the case. Anywayz, you certainly have a right Billboard to get up. I used to get onto my labtop and was able to type so quietly that my roomie would wake up a little later and not know I was up.
