What'd you do to it?

I need to find something to do tomorrow so I don't sit on my butt all day and get thorougly depressed.

I just asked Lari, and she says it's nothing serious. I just dumped an icon in the wrong place, but she doesn't think it's imperative that it be there. I'll call anyway, because I have a few other questions to ask them.

I've got to find something to do, too, but I need to get myself into better shape first. I have some shopping to do with my mom, but I need to wait until I feel better.

My fav and well only form of exercise I can stand, that makes me feel useful and rids me of some stress is swimming--I loove swimming. My comm. college has a pool so I swam a bunch during the semester, but this does remind me that I should find out about their winter policies.

Well, the other form of exercise I get is walking to bway related events in the city, but that's unintentional.

I'm starting to get tired, but I'm almost afraid to go to sleep because my mind will wander into un-calm territory and I'll have trouble sleeping. I hate when I know my own thoughts have the potential to scare me. Eventually I'll give in.

I woke up at 1:15 today so I know for a fact I'm going to have a hard time falling asleep. I think I'll read - hopefully it'll do the trick.

Heh, and see usually now I'm prepared to be up at least 2 more hours but will prob go to bed soon w/ the not feeling well. But I suggest crossword puzzles to help you sleep.

When I sleep with my iPod, the headphones never stay in long. I'll wake up with them on my pillow, and be all confused.

i used to try the sleeping with headphones thing in college because my roomie was a "no lights no noise" kind of person...eventually I got used to them digging into my head ... but it was in the days of a walkman and I would kill batteries like crazy. I think I still have the indention in the side of my face from the headphone :)

Sometimes those headphones hurt my ears. Anyone else?

I still say the crossword puzzles will knock you out...

but sometimes those nature sounds...there's some machines for it...breezes, summer nights, there's nice rain, and rivers and such but those always make me go to the bathroom...

sometimes even the noise of a fan helps

Everytime I fall asleep listening to music, I dream of that music!

yes the regular iPod earphones hurt me! I'm better now cause my handsfree thing for my cell phone is the same style...since I wear it all the time I guess my right ear got used to it, but my left ear still hurts.

My brother calls them "mug-me-White" headphones cause who would wear them other than someone carrying around an iPod :)

I can't fall asleep in total silence. I need music or my TV or something; just a very low volume, but I need something to keep me company.

thats how i am...i always go to sleep with the TV on. it helps me get to sleep faster. Although somebody said you arent supposed to do that because the sound disrupts your sleep or something

It gives me something to focus on that's not pressing. Silence makes my mind wander, and I'll often think about stressful things, or how much I have to do the next day, or something, and then I end up being unable to fall asleep. I feel like if I leave the TV on quietly, on a channel that I don't particularly *want* to stay up and watch, I can fall asleep with my "attention" on that, and do so faster.

I put it on a half-hour sleep timer, which is about how long it takes me to fall fully asleep.

Yeah, same here, I tend to think about stressful things if I don't have something to focus on like the tv. But it doesn't really take me long to go to sleep anymore, because I don't go to sleep until I'm really tired, which is usually the middle of the night, lol.

Yeah. I don't focus on the TV enough to have it keep me up -- like I said, I don't watch anything terribly interesting. Just enough to take my mind away....

I do that too. I need the TV as background noise in order to fall asleep. Usually 30 minutes does the trick, but sometimes I start listening and get distracted and end up extending the timer and that is usually why I am up later than I need to be.

I've definitely also taken up the habit of being awake until I'm just too tired to keep my eyes open anymore; until I'm at crashing point.

In some ways, it's kind of nice to just be able to have your head hit the pillow and be out.

Well crashing point on a pillow is lovely. I was referring to crashing point on a desk, for example. Not so lovely.
