He did look really good at Chess. Normal suits don't look good on him, but that one look amaaazing. If you guys saw that PBS special... the Broadway: My Favorite Love Songs concert... he wore something similar there. It was a suit, but it wasn't like a business suit. Hot hot hot.
his hair kinda looks blue there haha

Thanks Em. The Emcee in that number is so weird to begin with, so I was just interested in how Adam played it.
But thank god he went for it with the role. Why would Jon Seceda be so squeamish about it? He should have known what he was getting into. I hate when people do that- take a role because it looks good on their resume, but half-ass their way through it so people don't actually think they're gay. (ew! cooties!)
*drool*
Jon Secada was just so.... aaaaaah. Old and flabby and scary. Not good scary. Just creepy scary. He wasn't squeamish about thrusting his hips about in his "I'm a Latino star, I'm so HOOOT" form, but he really shouldn't have been. I know that's mean, but noooo. He just... meh. He was a poor casting choice. Very poor. They needed sex appeal, but they also needed someone relatively daring -- which a good actor has to be.
Adam in blue? Hot. Adam in makeup? Hot. Adam in blue makeup? REALLY REALLY F*CKING HOT.
I was just looking at the IBDB page and noticed that Robert Sella played the Emcee too (bad Chitty fan, not reading the playbill in detail). I can totally see that, Boris has the same make-up colorscheme as the Emcee.
He did! He was a blonde Emcee!!
John Secada was my first -- and almost only -- Emcee.
The bright green eyeshadow made his eyes stand out soooo well. Even though I'm pretty sure most of the Emcees wore dark contacts, they just popped.
Well if you guys can do it, I suppose I could see a show by myself too. :) Not like I'd sit there and chat through the show anyway and I can talk to you people after I see them :)
Wasn't John Stamos the Emcee for awhile too?
Yes. That I would be scared to see. Uncle Jesse in drag just seems wrong.
I'd feel comfortable going to a show by myself that I've seen before, as opposed to going to a show that I'm seeing for the first time. Although, I think I would still prefer going with someone else.
i'm sure most people prefer to see it with someone else..but not everybody has someone to go with. I was supposed to go see Chitty last week before it ended and I was so upset that I couldnt go becasue nobody else wanted to go and I couldnt go by myself, not that I'd want to cause I'm only 14 so that would be kinda weird.
Hehe ... that's probably why he did it - to drop the clean cut nice guy Uncle Jesse thing. Poor guy, he'll always be Uncle Jesse to me.
I know some of you watch the LJ communities at times ... was just flipping through the rent one (just rent, not the movie) and some one posted some color bars and bubble letters with pictures that are cute of adam.
This past week, I saw Seascape alone, which was my first time seeing a show alone (or movie). Maybe it was partially because I was the youngest one there (I don't think I'd want to see a movie on a Saturday night with all the high schoolers - I'd probably feel uncomfortable) but it was actually really relaxing and nice. I'd do it for a show again.

Figured I'd add that to the conversation.
And Neil Patrick Harris also played the Emcee... Doogie Howser anyone?
New to this thread... um, Hi.
I went on vacation by myself once ... it was kind of a last minute thing where my dad had a free airplane ticket expiring and asked me if I wanted it. Hung out for 3 days, did some sightseeing and enjoyed it. Only weird part was eating alone. Luckily it was weeknights and not weekend so I wasn't surrounded by couples or anything. In a way it was great - no compromising! :)
I went to NYC by myself for a weekend back in October, but that's because my friend bailed on me. But I had a great time anyway and it was great for clearing my mind. I found that iPods are especially handy when you're eating by yourself.
I need to get off my butt and get an iPod. My brother gave me that $$ and it's jsut sitting here waiting to be spent. I even worked on going through my old CD's to see what was worth being put onto the computer so that it could go on my iPod!
Woah ... Doogie as the Emcee! I was bummed that his tour of Rent wasn't the one that came here back in the day, we got the other one. I watched the new TV show with Doogie in it last night, it's pretty funny I think..
Have you seen him in Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle? I died laughing at his parts.
I watched his new show... the New Years episode? Hmm... yeah. I liked it a lot surprisingly enough.
Well...
*likes Adam better*
ew. yes, Adam wins. It is amazing how unlike themselves people look when they're the Emcee though. I mean, all of them in that picture pose look more like each other than themselves, I think.
