Wait, that's the normal metal one, isn't it? ::slaps forehead:: It totally looked like a thick hemp one for a second.
I don't remember the car noises, but I do remember the weird faces. They crack me up. Rosario did talk too much though. Its nice that she is enthusiastic but she didn't really let anyone get a word in edgewise.
And I really need to go because I'm babysitting and I probably should be upstairs right now but I came downstairs to look up school homework and got distracted by BWW.
princesskatt, being distracted/sidetracked when going online to do something is the story of my life. There's even a term for it (as featured in this week's issue of TIME magazine, where there's an article about the distractions and addictive nature of electronic communication devices): screen sucking. I was so happy that there's a word for what I do, but strangely my mother did not share my enthusiasm

BG, me too. I've been on the internet since I was nine and it's pretty much an addiction. Right now I should be studying for finals, but I'm rather just browsing websites that I know I'm not learning anything from. I do have to admit that this is hilarious:

It's like the CapAlert site, but unfortunately not as hardcore, making it less funny.
Because Benny now works for a living, he's called “yuppie scum.”
Haha.
Haha...i love how they use all the song lyrics and make it seem so serious
haha...they are so thorough ..
"Mark makes cracks about erections and masturbation. Mimi performs an extremely suggestive dance in a skimpy leather bikini. She rubs her crotch when a patron offers her a tip."

The thought of the writers going into the theater with a pen and paper, ready to write notes like "rubs crotch" and "toasting to dildos and S&M" makes me laugh.
The CapAlert site still takes the cake. I swear it said something like, "Mimi and Roger kiss." OMG OH NO!

haha..i know
like this one too..
"Maureen moons the camera. She and Joanne grope one another’s buttocks and kiss."
"During the musical number “Light My Candle” she makes a sexual come-on to Roger. (The song is full of sexual double entendres.)"
No, really? I'm SHOCKED! All this time I just thought that song was about a sweet, innocent candle!
On a more serious note, I'm still kinda surprised that PETA didn't try to make some sort of misguided anti-RENT protest (OMG! There's a song about a guy who got paid to kill a dog! And they praise leather and make fun of the guy who orders vegetarian food!)
"Plus, he has that kind of hot moment where he's semi-grinding with Rosario, haha."
This is one of the best parts of the movie. I wanna dance like that with him!!
And where is this commentary w/the kids in School of Rock about Aida?? I watched all of Adam's parts (with my friend- both of us screaming at Jack Black at the end to shut up so we could hear Adam sing) and all the commentary during his parts. How did I miss it?
haha...did you ever read those Christian movie review sites? They are like...they misused the word 'Jesus' and God', for example, Roger says.."Happy Birthday Jesus" in a sarcastic manner

"That's a funny yet odd thought. I hope that they didn't really bring a pen and paper. They're being so literal!"
I don't see how they could manage to remember all of that without bringing something with them. I mean, wow. What a horrible job!

It's a separate commentary track. There's one commentary with Jack Black and the director, and a different one with just the kids in the movie.

Maybe they have to watch it multiple times to catch everything, giving money to the most "obscene" movies in the process. Or maybe they just buy a s**tload of tickets to a nice safe G-rated movie and sneak into the ones they're reviewing.
DancNdaMoonlite...did you watch the "Kids Kommentary"? that is where they talk about him and Aida...in the beginning part...and then in the regular commentary Jack Black and the director mention that he was in the OBC of RENT and how he was amazing and came in with a song they gave him and he NAILED it! o but of coarse..
Do you know around what part of Jack and the director's commentary they talk about Adam in Rent?
It's in the scene where Dewey gets kicked out of the band. He talks about each individual band member -- the part about Adam carries into the next scene where he gets the call about the sub job and pretends to be Ned.
DancN, it's right around when Adam's character kicks Jack's character out of the band.
Really? I thought I watched that? O well im gonna go watch it now.
It's not very long.
Hello again, actually got home at a decent hour. I saw some references to Adam being in Boston and have read seven pages back without finding the original info. So what's the story? Is he doing a concert there?
Yay. I saw it.
I liked the article. lol "Other lines celebrate S&M and dildos."
Yeah, at Boston University, but it's only open to BU students. I emailed them and they told me I could get in WITH a student with a valid BU ID, but they aren't selling tickets to it, so there wouldn't be a way to guage how likely it is that I'd get in; the deal is that they'll let non-BU people accompanied by BU students in if there are extra seats after all of their own students who want to go have gotten in. So basically they're saying I'd have to make the trip without knowing that I could get in. :-/
That's too bad. When is it? Not that I'd be able to go unless it's in February anyway.
It's March 31. I think it's a Friday night.
Ah, quite a ways away. My only hope would probably be to hang around at the entrance and try to convince some poor student to let me be their friend. I wonder what kind of program he's putting together. Will it be only Civilian again, a mix of his two CD's, or have some Rent or other theater stuff thrown in?
I checked over at Sh-K-Boom, and they said he'd be doing some shows during the spring, so hopefully there'll be more.
What? Shows in the spring? I hope they're in NYC.
