Yeah I think AOL is losing customers fast. Not only is it slow and doesn't really work well, but its expensive. I think a few years ago it was 27 dollars a month, and I'm not sure what it is now. I'm suprised we haven't gotten rid of it.
We don't have AOL. At home we used to go with Bell, the phone company, the problem was there is no high-speed in that area, which is a big city right outside of Toronto, so we switched to Roger's, the cable company. Where I go to school, a small city in cottage country, not only is there high speed with Bell, but I could get turbo speed if I wasn't poor.
Just remembering dial-up, I shudder to think about going back to it. When I had dial up, I was lucky to download things at 2kbs a minute, so I was lucky if a three megabyte song got done in an hour. And now I can download whole movies in half an hour. Highspeed internet is amazing.
It's kind of sad how much I've come to rely on having fast internet, or even internet at all. When the internet wouldn't work yesterday, my mom and I were really annoyed, and I was like going through AIM and BWW withdrawls, lol. Kind of like cell phones...before you own one, you can do without one just fine. About a month after you own it, if you forget it for one day people get mad at you for not answering your phone. That happens to me anyway, lol. If I forget my phone for a day, I come back to find eight missed calls or something ridiculous like that.
Good luck with your debate tournament, siamese!

Ah, so true. If I wanted to download a music video, I would have to leave it running overnight and hope I didn't get disconnected. Now, that takes about 5 minutes at home and 1 and a half at school.
I think what made having dial-up for so long really frustrating is that other streets in my neighborhood were wired for high-speed years before my block was. It was so close, yet so far away.
I definitely can't deal with not having Internet access for more than a day or so. I went on a cruise a couple of weeks ago and went online (either in the ship's cybercafes or through wireless access on my own laptop) a few times a day, even though it cost 50 cents a minute because I just couldn't handle being without it.
Oh I was pretty bad about it when I went to Australia this summer. Whenever there was internet at our hotel I would always have to go on it to check email and stuff even though it was pretty expensive. It wasn't so bad if you could find an internet cafe, usually about three dollars for an hour or something like that.
And I just read that excerpt of Anthony's book and I want it REALLY bad now. I think he is signing in New York a day or two before I come up. I'm going to just miss him, it stinks.

I'm going back to school tomorrow morning, and before that I still have to transfer computers, do laundry, pack, etc. etc., and I'm going to dinner with my best friend and her mom at 5:30. I'm SO getting yelled at tonight.
I can't wait to read Anthony's book, either.

It's in the 60s here now too. I love Louisiana weather. Last year on Christmas Eve it was 25 degrees. This year its been in the 80s.
It's in the 60's here, too, but there's loads of fog. Really weird, actually.
*attempts to convert temperature*
It's 3 here, but that's celsius.
Ok, I found this online converter, it says 37.4

It's about 60 here in LA- That's freezing for me. I don't think I'd ever be able to live on the East Coast..
It's around 50 degrees here and they say it's supposed to snow tomorrow.
Hello. I'm pretty sure that this is something I should be a part of.
60º in Syracuse, in the middle of January, is amazing.
Hello Dancinqueen.

Hello!
60 in Syracuse!? Geez. Of course, with my luck, there will be a blizzard this weekend when I have to go back. *knocks wood*
So I thought about getting SRO tickets to Wicked Saturday because I can't let that mess be my last experience with the show (I like more closure than that) but it turns out that SRO were sold months in advance! Since when did that happen? It's day-of EVERYWHERE else on the planet, why not here? But the Kennedy Center and I aren't getting along very well, so I'm not particularly surprised.
Hello Dancinqueen! WELCOME
*wave* wow i have been bombarded with homework this week! ahh..now i get to spend the whole weekend on bww

Never seen it, but I've listened to most of the Forbidden Broadways. I love it! My roommate and most of my family however stand confused when they hear it. Check out the Wicked one...tis hilarious!

Yeah, I'm surprised, because it's gotta be mid-50s or 60 degrees up here in Boston.
yea i listened to the Wicked one..heh...is it the one when Idina and Kristen are fighting? "defying chenowith?"
Where can you find the FB audios?
Welcome, Dancinqueen!
Snow tomorrow? Shiiiiiiiiit. At least I already brought most of my stuff to my dorm yesterday, but there go the plans to go out to dinner with my parents before settling back in - even though my dad's ankle is pretty much healed (he broke it in October), he's not going to feel safe walking in snow, and if Dad is stuck at home, Mom will probably rush back to Queens as soon as we finish seeing RENT.
Selling SRO months in advance? That's crazy.
