I do lofe me some Play-Doh. Maybe I'll pick some up for the apartment. I'm a small child at heart.
Is cross-stitching the same as embroidery? And... don't you need a hoop?

Ellie, that's cute. Weren't they very salty, though? And I had to do ten.
Did you eat paste as well, Ellie? I miss play-doh. I never use to eat paste, but I was one of those kids that like to put it all over their hands, let it dry, and peel it off while screaming in mock horror that I was peeling my skin off.
Yeah, it's a backstitch. My great-aunt used to do dresser scarves all in backstitch and knots. They always came out nice. I looked around for a couple sites, but mostly embroidery books came up. Good luck!

I don't think I ever managed a full one, Nia. And I knew they were horrible - I was acting. What a brat I was.
Ten? Gracious me.
P.S. Where did the word 'lofe' come from again?
So was I, Marlene! I actually still like to do that, especially with hot glue guns.
And ten?! ahhh.
Ellie, there was some poster called OscardelaRentBoy who posted that "luvtheEmcee and the rest of the Adam nuts - get a lofe!" It was clearly a typo, but we sort of adopted the term.

bdway, do you think I could just fill in the rest with a backstitch? And thanks for googling. I tried to and got the same results.
Marlene, I never did that, but a lot of kids at my elementary school would pour glue on the top of their pencil boxes and it off when it dried. Then they'd color it. People collected them.
Oh, Ellie.

I do that with glue guns too! You can make really cool fingerprints in hot glue.
Ellie, even as a child, you were into green days...
I love making fingerprints in the glue! I'll tell you, it looked really cool when I sat in the conference room at work playing with hot glue.
My aunt did and the things she made were gorgeous.

Ha! Yes, I was the one who coined the term. Grass is actually quite tasty you know. I used to make grass soup sometimes, and put stones into it. Delicious it was too.
Nia, with hot glue guns it really does hurt. But there is a certain point when the glue cools off enough that you can work with it before it completely hardens. Haha, this is what I spent a week doing for community service this summer.
I like grass flavored jelly bellys if that counts, Ellie. I don't think I've willingly ate grass before. I've licked play-doh, but it is awfully salty.
Why didn't we think of that?, insomniak...I guess people in my school weren't so artistically inclined. We were amused with ripping pieces of glue from the palms of our hands. The sad part is, I did that this summer.
Hey Som, I thought you said you'd never use your own photo as your avatar. What happened??

Thanks, bdway.
My friend once picked a dandelion and ate it. Now, I like dandelion leaves on my salads, but the flower? Wierd. Ellie, you ought to add it to your soup.
I've definitely met people who eat grass; that's what I got from being a camp counselor. You are not alone, Ellie!

Hey, everyone!
Tell me more about these fingerprints in hot glue things. I'm intrigued!
My mother loves your avatar insomniak, actually she was more facinated about who I'm talking to. Just had to count on Ellie to tone it down. She refers to Billie Joe as "the scary looking kid that can sing."

Tiff, I know I'm gorgeous. You don't have to say anything. I know compliments kill you.
Glue fingerprints- squirt a big pile of hot glue onto a piece of paper or whatever and then press your finger in. Voila. Instant mold of your ridges and whorls.

Eek, I'd hate it if my Mom was looking over my shoulder. Once she saw that I was talking to lunatic nutjobs like Tiff, she'd never let me come online again! (I say that with love, Tiff.)
Owww...glue gun fingerprints...from my personal experience I always like squirted a puddle of hot glue, let it cool down a bit and put my finger in, and made a print that way. I was rusty this summer...and scorched my finger on several occasions. I now have a masochistic relationship with glue guns.

Som, I do give you compliments. Like, your avatar looks like Helena Bonham-Carter! See, compliment! (We'll ignore the fact that it's more of an emanciated Helena Bonham-Carter with a finger-socket issue.)
This one time, Ellie sent me a photo of her penis. I've got it on file. Wanna see?
She wasn't reading so it's all good. (Though I think eating play doh isn't something she'd consider "normal" oh well...her loss) She's just very facinated with user images... unfortunately my computer is near by the living room and she does have a view of my screen if she looks over. She has yet to notice the RENT booty...now that would cause the need of some explaining.

Hi everyone!
Hot glue guns rock. Whenever I'd finish a project, I always seemed to have a little glue left, so I'd draw pretty glue pictures on a piece of newspaper. The fingerprint thing does sound interesting though. Painful, but interesting.
