Have fun back in the city, Em! I have to go continue my own packing, hehe. Talk to you later!
Me too. Adios!
YAY Allie got her Friday morning bump..
I'm guessing you are both gone at this point.. But good morning anyway
In and out. Trying to figure out this TheatreMania problem I'm having, before I hurt someone.
Oh that doesn't sound good... What problem is this?? can I help?
Online it says to call, but their phone lines don't appear to be in working order. So, I just keep trying!
well that really sucks.. I'm sorry..
eh. I'll just keep trying. Most I can do, right?
yep.. I'm guessing you aren't the only one having trouble..
Other than that how are you today?
Probably not, if the phone lines won't work.
I'm alright, just doing last minute packing and going mildly insane, but I'm excited to finally get settled in for the school year. What about you?

Second page? Not cool! LBH to the rescue, bumping the Adam love back to the first page. My head is killing me...must find a tylenol...
Hope you feel better!
What is there to talk about this evening? I mean, I did get through my first week of school alive, but that's hardly headlining news.
Well, everything feels so... small. Inconsequential.
I got through my first week alive, too! Tired and achey, but alive.
Excited or eh about classes, Em?
A little bit of both, I guess.

This is goodbye for a little while from me. I'm moving to school tomorrow, and I have to pack up my computer soon.
Good luck with the move!

I'm getting excited now! And I think I'll have my internet hooked up really quickly, so it won't be a long time...
Anyway, byyyyyee!! Hugs to all!
YAY! Hope it goes well. Bye!

Hi everyone - here's some good news from the IMDb RENT board, which by the way has become very, very active lately. I've edited the post down a bit, so if you want to see the whole thing it's under the heading "Good RENT buzz."

One of my old college classmates got an internship with Sony studios about two years ago and has worked for them ever since. I'm not sure exactly how high up on the food chain she is over there, but she somehow managed to catch a glimpse of about the first fifteen minutes of the movie.
Her reaction was highly positive. She's been a RENThead for quite some time, so she may be a bit bias, but she said that within the first five minutes she was crying... here were a couple of things she pointed out:
1. The cinematography and lighting is BEAUTIFUL. I forgot what exactly she said, it was something girly like 'the camera angles catches the essence of the character's souls'. LOL. I don't know what exactly, but it sounds good.
2. The acting is incredible. Particularly, she says, the character's 'angst'.
3. Direction and transition among scenes is perfect. From the flashbacks to the current. And the 'stock footage' (ie NYC or the street) to the 'featured footage' (ie character scenes and songs) is perfect.
4. The movie is very intimate. It's about the characters' and not so much the setting.
5. It SOUNDS amazing! To all those of you, myself included, who worried about Adam's sound clip. The fifteen minutes ended right around Glory. And she says she was in tears because of a) his vocals and b) his acting.
Rosario, Tracie and Idina weren't featured. The others were, and she says they were incredible. She LOVED, as she stated many times, that they're real. Not over the top, not cliche - but real people. In a real movie. About real lives...
So things seem to be looking good, at least for the first fifteen minutes. She says she thinks Adam can be a breathrough Oscar performer for this. I doubt that the Academy will recognize him because, well, he's so new. But here's to hoping...
Viva!

YAY good news!
I'm going to cry my eyes out starting within the first five minutes, and ending about an hour after the movie is over. I know it.
Hey Emcee - well, I hope you're not crying so much as to be unable to see the movie! It's good to know that a RENT devotee loved what she saw that much.
As for me, I don't think I'll get my chance to see a few bits of the movie, since from Monday on I'm going to have to spend all my waking hours on the movie I'm actually working on, but I'm okay with that. In a way, I'd rather see the whole thing all at once than a few little pieces.
Oh, I probably won't see a thing but my own tears. I cried so much when Aida closed that I missed the death stare, after all!
And that's true; keep the surprise.
I guess you'll just have to keep going until your tears dry up somewhat then
It's looking to me like movie will at least make the RENTheads happy, and that it may have enough going for it to even become a hit. There may be a whole new RENT boom like in 1996, only global this time.
