What? What happened to Allie? Is she ok? Did the roomate try to eat her?
Nia, Allie's Roomie is antisocial and just seems to be not nice.. Precisely what Allie doesn't need.. She stays locked up in her room.. it just doesn't sound pleasant so we have been offering up some solutions..

Such as strangling her or baking her in a pie.
*pouts* I missed out on arsenic, brownies, and group hugs? Pooey.

Ok, well, that's no cause for war yet. She could just be shy. If Allie's been very foward, she might be intimidated. At least she's not blasting death metal.

Yaaay!*hug* Nothing like a virtual hug to make you feel better.
Well that's not it Nia, Allie has tried to give her the benefit of the doubt but she seems to just be anti social.. From the sounds of it Allie has done nothing to be intimidating.. Poor Allie is miserable, and I can't stand for that..
Hmmm baking her into a pie.. it's sweeney todd Canadian style..

Whee, hugs.
Your other thread about families is very interesting, by the way, Nia.

I'm back from my show. The roommate emerged! But only long enough to ask what I was watching on TV. Then she said, "Oh," and went away again.

Cam, something tells me that a Sweeny-style pie would really not help the situation...
Allie, when you read this- at least you can live with her. Not everyone will love you, chica. It's ok.
Thanks, Ellie. I really can't think of how to respond to some of those posts, but I like reading them.

Does she seem unhappy, Allie? Maybe she's missing home. Knock on her door and tell her the TV's free...that'll cheer her up!

Allie, not all is lost. She interacted with you.

I'm sorry it's going poorly, Allie. *hug*
It was a funny idea regardless Nia.. and no it wouldn't help.. I suggested the over cooking the popcorn in the microwave to make her emerge when the smoke detector went off..

I think, and I hope, that she's just overwhelmed at the moment. She's been living here alone since the beginning of August, and I'm sure it was a shock when I came in with my vanload of belongings.
She IS far away from home, but from what I understand, that's why she picked Nova Scotia-- to get away from her family. I'm trying to bond, I really am! We had one conversation last night, and it was the most random two hours of my life. "So, do you have any cousins? NO! Do you like spinach?" Uh, yes, and yes!
Yes, Ellie, she bathes. I think she had a shower this evening. I do have a real kicker of a story for you guys, though. THIS is what first made me think she was nuts!

Allie, if it was mostly you talking, she probably is intimidated or maybe even put off by your outgoing, kind attitude. Let her settle in with you and your existence and stuff first.
Thanks babe.. it's just a random conglomeration of quotes.. I was considering a change..

It was mostly her talking! And I think she must have used up all of her speaking tickets or something in that one conversation because I haven't heard much out of her since!
So last night, the subject of music came up. I mentioned that I thought we had a flutist next door, and a bad one at that! She asked me if I played any instruments. I told her I played percussion in the school band for many years. She kind of scoffed at that. Then I said, "Well, I sing, actually. I've been singing in choirs for a few years now." "Oh," she said, "Choir doesn't count." "It doesn't count? How about musical theatre? I do that, too. Does that count as singing?" "No."

Aw, it's nice of Nia to always see the good in people - an admirable quality!
