I usually go to fireworks at home, but seeing as this year "local" will be attended by like a bazillion people and will require me to be present in waiting like twelve hours before, I think I'm gonna pass and watch them on TV like always.
*flail* Come play with meeeee!
Ya see, I'd go to Philly for the fireworks (I hear it's an incredible show. I've never actually seen it, despite being ALMOST CLOSE ENOUGH TO THE CITY TO SPIT ON IT)... but I just don't feel like dealing with the damn crowds.

*dodges Emcee's flail* I have thirty pages to ediiiiitttt.
If I were in NYC, I'd so drag you to the Macy's ones. I'd lie and say Adam would be there just to get you out of your dorm.
Lari, I admire your motivation. I vaccumn... never.
Go work, you! *stops flailing*
I used to really want to go. Now that I'm here and I actually *can* go, I'm sort of like "meh... I'll pass." I'd actually really like to see them in DC one day. I might go to the art museum with Zepka tomorrow, though.
Vacuuming... I need to do that. Maybe then I wouldn't sneeze all the time.
Motivation? Pffffffft. Just some weekly chores. I'll get lazy in college, just you wait and see.
...The desire to go play Zelda has just struck me.
I was lazy before college. Now I'm just downright useless. Unless there's food. Then I'm motivated.

Lari, I used to love Zelda!!!
I see, Em. You've become a New Yorker and are above such menial events as fireworks. That's why you need a good ol' gung-ho Midwesterner like myself to drag your too-cool-for-you ass down to the fun.
But museums are muy divertido, so enjoy.
I love fireworks. I hate crowds and I hate (most) tourists. I also hate when it's hot and stick out. So, you know, negatives outweight positives. *pets AC vent*
I tried to like Zelda. ThenI got confused because it wasn't Mario.
I LOVE Zelda. Especially Ocarina of Time.
As for tourists? I'm glad I'm familiar enough with NYC to not be a tourist. I just kinda give all the people hauling cameras and looking around Times Square with awed expressions a sigh and move on.
One time, I had a really obnoxious tourist sitting next to me at a show. She actually got up and started SQUEALING and taking pictures of her hand on the stage. For Chrissakes, woman...
The ones who stop walking every three seconds, when you REALLY have somewhere to be. And who look up at EVERYTHING... even like... the McDonald's signs.

Lari, I feel your pain about proximity to cities!
And that was my favorite Zelda. Did you have a favorite song on the ocarina? Did Link's really pointy ears ever bother you?
I hate some crowds, like the ones in amusements parks.
I've only been to NYC once and I'm sure I'm Tourist. But I think I should get points back for not owning touristy clothing and not taking pictures. Not many pictures, anyway. And I don't squeal, though I did bounce when I saw the Nederlander sign.

Whenever I think of ocarinas, I think of that old Nickelodeon cartoon, Doug. The green guy... Skeeter, I think, got an ocarina made out of stale bread in one episode. I never knew what an ocarina was before that, so it sort of stuck.
See, not all tourists are annoying. And honestly, if you walk at a decent pace, I won't hurt you.

Hell, if all it takes is a walk, I'm there. I walk faster than anyone I know.
Emcee, I loved Doug, but I don't remember that episode. What really stuck was Judy, his sister- the paradoy of the "Artistic Soul". She was funny.
My favorite song? *thinks* I dunno, I thought the whole soundtrack was nice. I remember liking the Water Temple song...
...I'll play it again sometime today. Master Quest or something. MmMMmm...
Anyway... you sound fine, Nia. That's no big deal. It's the tourists that press their hands to the stage and take pictures OF THEIR HAND that are just out there.
But not too fast, because I'm tiny and I'll get lost. I'm only 3'2", remember? I swear, though, there are literally tourists who just stop walking in the middle of the block, for no good reason. And don't get me started on the comedy club people who harass me every day. Creeeeeeeeepy tourism ventures. GAH.
I liked Judy. She was neat. Aw, I miss old school TV.
AUGH OLD SKOOL DOUG WAS AMAZING.
Disney made it suck... I completely miss the old days of Nickelodeon. Salute Your Shorts, anyone? Hey, Dude!? Pete and Pete?
I love that all of that stuff is getting released onto DVD. Slowly, but YAY!

Did anyone else love Recess and the Weekenders as far as Saturday morning cartoons went?
I like the desert music, Lari.
Emcee, I'll pick you up and carry you.
Oh, I liked the desert. The prison? With the she-thieves? Good times.
I liked Rocko's Modern Life. That was such a great cartoon. :O

The girls had kickass weapons!
Ok, what was up with the Zorans? There was like... one female. The princess. Who wanted to marry Link. Who was not Zoran. Wierd?
I guess that's what happens when a bunch of guys who live in their mother's basements try to imagine relationships.
My legs are kinda crampy. Off to do something else. *waves*
Noooooo, nia, you have to put me in your pocketttttttt.
I really liked Recess. It was cute. HOWEVER, I was a really, really big Rugrats fan. Maybe it was the Jewish factor.
*waves at nia*
Fish Woman + Link = Trew Luv?
...Yeah, it's weird. But, eh. Personally, I'm excited for the NEXT Zelda game, the Twilight Princess. It looks more on-target with Zeldaness than Windwaker did.
Well, except that Link's a werewolf. That's a little odd.
The early episodes of Rugrats rocked. I hate the new ones.
See ya, Nia.
Rugrats before the first movie was amazing... then all of these random characters made it not as funny.
Lovely Raul icons, Lari & Emcee...
He's telling me to come hitherrrrrrrrrr....
