I definately can't fault him on his voice.. he does have a great voice.. and I was never saying that he doesn't care about the character etc, because you are right we have no way of knowing.. All I am going on is what I got out of his performance.. It's all my interpretation of his portrayal, it's not right or wrong it's just what I got out of it.. And like I said I think he's probably more than capable of being amazing.. I think that's where my frustration lies..
Well, I guess I can understand the problem of certain performances just rubbing you the wrong way - it happens to everybody.
But, be that the case, there's nothing to delve into and discuss, if it's just an instinct. I feel like his portrayal's not too far from other Rogers, though.

Talking about Cary? Aww, I love his Roger. He is awesome in Taboo too. I think he had too much time being Roger and should go onto something new but I still think he is great. Matt is okay too just same as Cary has been in it to long. They are great performers IMO.
I've recently fallen into a "I miss Taboo like nothing else" phase.
I would have to agree that he's not the worst Roger. Who knows maybe he was having an off night, or maybe it was just my frame of mind at the time.. There are so many factors. But what can you do?
I must say he's easy on the eyes.. **stares at ikm's avatar**
Well, he isn't Dan...So, as for frame of mind...
**blink blink**
I... Uhhh... Nothing I have nothing..
**blush**
Awwwwe, I like Cary. I agree with Emcee's idea that Roger simply doesn't have any energy for life. I mean, that's how he usually seems to be, right?
Matt rubs me the wrong way. Too much of a comedian, not enough of an actor as Mark...

I guess my avatar was actually useful for something besides me liking Cary. Matt is not my favorite although I can't compare him to someone else cause that's the only Mark i've seen. I fyou need more pics of Cary look at my fanphotos :) .
Matt does go for the cheap laughs.. cant argue with that..
It's not a matter of roger having the energy for life or not.. That wasn't my problem.. It was the fact that I didn't get from Cary that it was Roger that had no energy for life, instead I got that Cary had no motivation or was over run with boredom.. But we could go rounds for days about this.. Em however knows how to shut me up with a quickness when it comes to my opinions of the different Rogers..
When I see Matt, I want to poke out either his eyes or mine.
I see what you're saying cam, but I don't know how easy it is to read a performance that's not motivated, especially when someone is playing a character that's not motivated. That's a really, really fine line, and probably more often than not, dictated simply by whether or not (editorial) you like someone. It's all about instinctual preference, I think, which is why it can go on foreeeeever.
I finaly met Cary, actually. Sweet guy.
I totally agree Em..
So, guys. Today, I used Adam as an education example at work.
I'm totally serious. And damned proud.

Haha I'm proud of you Emcee. I was going to meet Cary but a problem came up and it had to be pouring rain outside.
