Same!! These boards are particularly addicting over the summer, when a lot of people just sit at home in their AC on their computers because the heat just tires you out and you don't have the energy to do anything else!!

ugh... Well, I'm glad my log-in worked again this time--in the summer instead of in the midst of crazy homework and papers.

Well, technically, classes start on Monday, August 29th, but I have orientation from August 21st to the 28th.... So I'll be living at school by the 21st.

I also go back on the 7th.

Even still, the 29th is pretty early!! Anything in August is considered early!

Nah, for college, it's really not early. My high school always started up after labor day, so I'm pretty used to September openings. I bet you don't go on summer vacation until June, right?

The good thing is, I get a month off for winter break, and the second semester ends for the summer mid-May...

I can't believe it's practically August, but I want the 4th to come right now!

So Lari, is this your first year at college? Are you becoming one of them? You guys can just go to classes at random times, check on the boards in your spare time, while we're all still stuck in our seats for seven hours straight!

This is going to be my first year at college, yes.

I have my schedule, and if you really want to know, I don't have more than four hours of class on any given day (and only two hours straight of classes. Ever.) and only three hours of class on Thursdays and Fridays...

This site really is horribly addicting. My mom puts an 11:00 curfew on my computer time during the school year so I'm not up until 3 am on these boards!!

It's okay, I used to get 3 to 4 hours of sleep on school nights.

One time, I fell asleep at 5 AM and woke up at 6... Drove to school... dragged myself through three tests... stayed after for National Art Honor Society... and drove myself home in a haze!

I was amazed I didn't crash. XD

Yeah, last year I would be like the only one on here at 2 or 3am, just because it was addicting. Hey, it's hard enough being addicted to Adam...(and CANDY)! Oh, and this is why I will never be trying cigarettes or alcohol. I have already learned I have no self control and get addicted too easily

When I started college, I learned the phenomenon of the all-nighter. I've never pulled one because I *will* crash, but my roommate does quite often; the truth is that there's a window of time - it's usually about 5-6 hours for most people - and if you sleep that amount, you'll be very tired. But if you just nap for like two hours or so, you'll be able to plow on for more time than you'd expected!

I've had days like that, where I got 5-6 hours of sleep and sort of dragged along. And last night, I got only three and a half hours of sleep or so, and napped a little bit today, and got through a rehearsal and a dance class. It's strange...

Yeah!! I've done quite a few all-nighters in the last 6 months to a year, and it really is much better to.
One time on a youth retreat, we had to leave for home at like 4 or 5am. So, rather than trying to wake up in a few hours, my friends and I just stayed up talking and laughing the whole morning and were ready to go bright and early--then we slept in the van!
The last time I pulled one for a "sleep"over I wound up sleeping 20 hours as soon as my friend left.
..And one time, a science project and English project (and these boards) kept me up so late I just worked right through to 6am...my mom came in and said "oh, up so early?"
I don't think I could ever make up for all the sleep I've lost. It really is important though, for like every little thing you do.

Afternoon bump from me at work... blech! I went to see some great bands last night!! The Stampeders, who sang "Hit The Road, Jack", were a lot of fun... and there was a local band whose lead singer looks JUST like Michael Arden!

Mmmhmmm. I'm trying to find a picture of the band, but he doesn't look that much like him in the pics! Maybe it was the lighting...
