Yeah, I know. She mostly wants to be alone right now. I don't blame her.
The WORST part is, her parents don't even care. They just want to bury it in the yard. She's getting really upset about it and wants him cremated. Ugh.
Nevermind it's ILLEGAL to bury animals like that in the yard in this town...

her parents DON'T CARE?! wow. that's really foolish. the cat is part of the family. get him cremated for christ's sake. poor thing.when her parents die, would they want her to bury them in the yard?! i think not!
it's illegal to bury animals in the backyard in my town too.
did she try talking to her parents about it?
She's not going to let her parents do that.
Ya see, my friend comes from an insanecontrolling!Asian family. But she refuses to let them control this part of her life. It was her cat...
Aww I'm sorry Lari..
**hugs**
Aww that sucks Lari.. I'm sorry.. **hugs**

Poor kitty!
Saying hi - move was... long but I suppose successful. I'm all hot and overheated and feeling like I'm going to die, but I have to run down to midtown to see a friend. Talk to you all later, if I haven't passed out.
At least the move was successful. Good luck staying awake and have fun.
And certainly, don't feel bad if you pass out.

hey everyone
Heyyy! *waves*
And that is horrible, about the cat
My cat mysteriously disappeared in April '03. He was somewhat an outdoor cat..a tomcat...he was the best
I heard when cats get old or sick, they just wander off to leave their home and be alone, but Sonny was around 9 yrs old.
We took in a little black cat while we had Sonny(my mom's only *son*), and named her Cher. One school morning I woke up to find her with kittens, but they didn't survive the day--she'd had them too young and like rolled over them during the night!
Okay, that's enough of my cat stories...I must go check out that new RENT magazine mention!
Quiet night - well I got hold of an Out magazine today, so here are some excerpts:
Q: What did you think when they said, "Let's make a big-screen movie of the show?"
Jesse: I remember thinking, I guess that's great, but somehow I know I won't be involved in it.
Adam: I felt the same way, and that's what came to be for the first incarnation of the movie. When it came around a second time, I was much more apprehensive about the whole thing. The idea of doing the movie wasn't something that I wanted to do until it became *this* movie, *this* group of people. That's what drew me to it.
***
Q: Jesse and Adam, having worked closely with Jonathan Larson for the show's creation, what do you think he'd think about the movie you're making?
Jesse: Jonathan would be thrilled to death - if only to write more songs and make it even longer!
Adam: I think he would love it. I honestly do. I don't think it could have been made any better. His whole family is head over heels in love with it, so you can only assume he would have been as well.
***
Q: Who's the biggest jokester on the set?
Jesse and Tracie: Taye
Adam: He likes to mess around and play with people's heads. He likes to screw around with Chris.
***
Q: What do you hope people walk away from the movie with?
Adam: A sense of joy. A sense of hope. Their spirits lifted a little bit. I think that's what affected the people so dramatically in the show, and I think it's going to be more intense with the movie. Maybe someone who's coming to the film with more of a closed mind regarding some of the issues can walk away with a clearer, more intelligent perspective on things.
It was at Tower Records, the one by Lincoln Center. I looked at Penn last night too, but no luck. Actually I'm surprised you saw even an older issue, because I've never seen it there. Anyway, someone posted that you can find Out at Barnes and Noble or Borders also.
thanks. i wonder if a barnes and noble in jersey would have it. hopefully.
i didn't see it in penn station either so i asked (multiple people in multiple places in an effort to find it) and in the hudson news stands it's kept in the "adult" section for some reason which is weird and also led me to some weird looks by others.
Ha, I'm not surprised, Penn Station seems kind of oriented to the conservative communters, so the thinking must go something like "it's about homosexuality, which has 'sex' in it, so it must belong with the porn." I don't think I would have had the guts to go rummage through the adult section myself - good for you.
yea, i was really surprised that it was in that section. at first i was like, maybe i don't want to buy this (since i've never looked at it before) but then i looked through the august issue a little and it looked just like a cosmo or something.
it was weird because in the first place the guy kept repeating it and pointing me in the right direction really loudly but i thought he was telling me to look in the travel section because there's an OutTravel magazine. then, at the next place, where the people working there conversed for a minute before showing me (maybe wondering if they should tell me to go look at the porn) i realized he was telling me it's in the porn section. i was with a friend and she was like, "this is really weird, maybe we shouldn't go through it," but i was so intent on finding it that i didn't even think about it and didn't care.
I used to be a West Sider too, so I understand your sentiments. Jesse's on the cover, by the way, looking very trim and buff, and there are a couple of fashion shots of him inside. There is also the ever-popular Light My Candle picture, and a couple of new ones. We see Tracie in a very dramatic tango pose with Anthony - her leg is way up and crooked for his arm and they're looking intensely into each other's eyes in that tango way. Wilson is seated in a subway car while Jesse swings from a pole.
ETA: alix, I applaud your devotion in searching for this magazine!
I'm waiting to see if Adam does any of this fashion shoot stuff - it's so not him.

Umm this is soo not fair.. We dont have OUT magazine here..
Ooo Pengers we're bouncing together??
yea, it was funny too because if you ask anyone that knows us, my friend would be the one looking for porn and i'd be kind of weirded out but we completely switched roles.
it will be interesting to see the different promotional stuff they all do. it is weird thinking of adam doing some of these things.
