Yeah; in my old building, the doors didn't lock by themselves, and I forgot that they do where I am now. I went to take my garbage out, didn't bring a key, and then I was locked out! So I had to go downstairs in like... REALLY skimpy shorts with pineapples on them and a non-matching tank top, without any shoes to get an emergency key. The guy was going to give me a hard time because I didn't have my ID (which you're supposed to to get the key), but after I explained to him like three times that my ID is on my key ring, he let me have it anyway.
It was an excellent time, let me tell you! (The sad part is that when I went to the security desk, I was actually laughing.)

Allie, do you guys have to fill out a roommate matching survey? Mine was super-extensive, but totally invalid, since my roommate and I requested each other. We met at an open house thing the spring before we started school, and totally clicked.

Last year, the application had a wonderful matching survey. It was really in-depth. I transferred to a different school this year, and when I applied, there was basically nothing in the way of roommate matching questions. I'm kind of scared!
I had a single room last year, so no fights, but my friends all got along really well with their roommates. I think there was only one incident. But it's like living with anyone... I would imagine you'd have days of "I don't want to see you right now!"
Nope, jkfan! We get along ridiculously well. Plus, we had different enough class schedules (as we do this year) that we were able to have alone time, etc, etc. We got lucky, and it totally worked out.
My school had a survey that asked about movies, music, what you do for fun, etc (which I think is a great idea) plus the typical neat/messy, sleeping hours, smoking/drinking questions. That's surprising, though, Allie; most schools at least ask about sleeping hours and smoking.
By the way, I was browsing fan photos (I'm so bored! Too tired to do work) and I saw your lumberjack avatar!! I miss that!
Em the whole bad sitcom was why I laughed. I guess it's better to get that out of the way now instead of when you are pressed for time..

We'll just have to do something about that, won't we?
And every building owned by the university is completely smoke-free. I think there might have been a question about quiet hours, but if there was, it was quick. I'm going to get stuck with my complete opposite, aren't I? And she's going to hate theatre!

hehe.. The good old dont drink and dress avatar.. That's a been mia for a long time.
Yes Em that he is.. Maybe we are all just a little bit biased... I could be wrong though..
Bye Allie
Well, I like the hat.
It makes me miss winter.
speaking of winter, I went to bed last night and it was hot.. I got up this morning and was freezing.. I really hate that!!!
Urgh, I know what you mean. Our power went out last night,so it was really hot, but I woke up early because the power had come back on and the air-conditioning was blasting. I am sad to say that it's no less hot here than it was in New York.
