I am really starting to not like this board. Well maybe just some of the members.

On a happier note...um, Adam rocks and it's 2 weeks until the Adam/Daphne concert!

While I do agree that when people post, they should remember that this is a public board, there's no denying that people will have different standards of what constitutes acceptable banter. There are some areas that clearly shouldn't be covered, but there will be a lot of gray areas as well. If this was another board, no doubt that whatever rules/standards that were set would have been followed. Given that Rob has this rule of "what's acceptable for most people, most of the time" - I do think this board generally ends up being a lot more relaxed (and a lot more fun, too, for *most* people). So some might react negatively; ok. It's good to do a self-check once in a while, but there will always be people who disagree with your choices. And that's fine. I'm comfortable with the lines I've set for myself. My point is: don't feel bad, Emcee. I'll bet most of the people will agree that you have been keeping things within a reasonable boundary

. People should take it for what it is, and not get too serious about it.

Should some strangers come here and flame, though. I will feel very comfortable letting QM give them a good kick on the ass.

Just read the Raul thread. Ouch. Don't sweat it. It's a bunch of newbie/lurkers, and frankly, your ties to people on this board are a lot stronger than theirs, so it's their loss if they choose to flame you.

Yeah, that KatePrinceton or was it Karen whatever. Well, you know what? Who cares what she has to say about it? Likely Raul won't hear about it, and that's what counts. (Well, there's a lot of things that count, but that's important too.) You gave Cara a crazy awesome birthday present (I couldn't even get one of my good friends to get me a goddamn Playbill from Aida when she saw it in August!!), and Cara's very grateful, and you had a good time. As for the Barnard crack, that would piss me off, but this is an online anonymous message board, so really whatever she has to say about "why" you got in is really irrelevant because she doesn't know you.
