The only reason the Barnard bit should bother you is if, along with being Raul's webmaster, she also happens to be the head of admissions at Barnard. Which, let's hope for all things holy and dear, she's not.

Raul's webmaster is Karen - she didn't say anything about Barnard. That was a different one.

It just bothers me because they haven't got a damned idea what I went through to get here. I had my heart brutally broken by the college admissions process, and getting into this school was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. NO ONE dares to say anything to me about where I deserve(d) to have gotten in. EVER.

Word, Emcee. I've been in your boat before. (Long story short, it involved my professors predicting to admissions that I'd barely pass grade 12 in the middle of the school year, much less get into their prestigious university, and then me working my ass off to not only be accepted, but get a full scholarship and prove those bastards wrong.)

QM - don't worry, I'm not a stalker. (Although I'm sure actual stalkers probably wouldn't admit it either.)

True dat, QM. Did you guys watch that Dateline segment yesterday talking about the men who were preying on this imaginary 13-year-old girl who was really the Dateline investigators? And 18 of these men actually went to her house, planning ot have sex with her. And they got them all on tape!!

Well, since we are still on the topic and I didn't get to give my two cents, here goes. That whole thread makes me sick to my stomach. It just seemed like everyone got on this holy-er than thou band wagon. Sooooo not fun. I think they could have been the bigger person and left everything alone, but nooo. I mean, who gives a rats ass how she pays tribute-last time I checked all of us were buying the tickets. Oh well, I've probably said too much as it is. *peace*

But maybe they have a point. That Raul shrine you've got in your bedroom with the candles, incense, toe nail clippings, blood samples and hair strands may turn some people off. Thanks guys! I feel so lucky now...I just heard on the news that this is the biggest disaster the nation has ever had. Even more expensive than 9/11. So yeah...the fact that we just lost power for a while...wow.
