The site gives absolutely no insight to what the movie is really like. Excuse me, I am off to read what others thought of the movie, didnt see the thread.

this is kinda OT, but i just want to tell emcee how much i love her reviews. i always look forward to reading them. they are always so descriptive and aren't TOO opinionated or biased. I just love them and i 'luv the emcee'!

I went and read most of the thread, and I still can only begin to contemplate what the heck it was about. Oh well, from the sound of it, people seemed to at least sort of enjoy it. If anything, you sounded thouroughly ammused by the randomness. Lol

i just went to the site to look at the pictures (i'm desperate to find the adam/cheerleader picture). is it just me, or do you guys dislike the pictures of adam? i think it might be because i'm so not used to him without the "beard".

He looks VERY different without his facial hair - and his hair was cut really short at that point. That was about how he looked when I saw Aida... now y'all understand why I was a bit underwhelmed. He looked good in the movie... different, but I know that smile any day. Anyway, there aren't any picutres of "Cheerleader Adam."

Well, me three. Once wasn't enough, thank you!

Anyway, I was just reading my art history book. We're doing Ancient Egypt this week (YAY!!!). So of course the first part of the reading is about Egypt's geography. I swear to you that all I could think of while reading was "from the Nile's Northern delta, to the dry, dry Southern sands!" and then I was sad.

Edit: They just mentioned the Egyptian conquest of Nubia. *cries*
More edit: It's ironic, though - later, the book talks about Nubians eventually taking over Egypt. Hm.
And the Eye of Horus is in the book!!!!!
... and everytime I see the name of the king Ramses in print, I think of Radames. They look kind of alike, don't they?

Aww, Emcee- that stinks!!

I'm also in the everything-back-to-AIDA phase. The word "Nile" comes up and I freak out. Today "Elaborate" came up, and I immediately broke into "Elaborate Lives"..grrr...

I have my books and my poetry to protect me...
