When I fell in love with RENT two years ago...but you knew that.
When I discovered RENT in August of 2002. Then, I had AIDA, and I said to my brother "Oh, doesn't Radames sound a lot like Roger?"...... like I knew that it was the same person! Then, I got the RENT book in January of 2003, and I'm like "Wow, he's really cute!" And here I am!
and...
you others who I don't see in person everyday
oops, sorry Diva

::feels unloved::
I love you I love you I love you
I was just curious about the others
I love you
Hey, remember my friend who told me I look like Idina except my face is fat?
Well now this 'friend' just told me I'm a stalker cuz I know it's Adam's birthday...
This really isn't my day, is it?
Fell in love with the voice in 1996. I think by the time he finished singing Glory, pretty much. I got goosebumps when he started the song.

amasis, did you see the OBC??
98 more posts, then we'll have 7000!!
Oh boy...
In '98 I got the OBCR of RENT. I was in 7th grade at the time. Appropriate for my age, right! I listened to the CDs over and over wil little concern for who played who. My mother was afraid of NYC so there was no chance of going in to see any show so it made little difference to me. I would listen to Glory repeatedly. I was an early teen going through rough patches like all other girls! It was my escape and it worked. I eventually began to learn the names of people from the show and heard Adam on the AIDA CD. Fell in love with that OBCR too. I finally got to see Adam in Cabaret in October (his second performance actuall). It was my first time seeing a Broadway show. After all that, it just kept growing. Yay for Adam Love!
So after all that, he has a special place in my musical theatre heart.
Things have been so busy here latley I have not had the time to keep up, so I just thought I would let everyone know if it hasn't been mentioned already that the 13th Concert is SOLD OUT, YAY for Adam, SADNESS for me, I was trying to order two tix when I found out, anyone got any extra's they need to get rid of??? Pretty please????
BroadwayDiva - yes. I think there are some other posters on this thread who did as well... Undiscovered did, I think. And QM saw the original London cast, if I'm not mistaken. Updated On: 10/25/04 at 08:43 PM
Ummmm lets see. Someone told me that my singing reminded them of Adam Pascal and I was like 'Who the hell is that?' and then they proceded to lend me the Rent CD's so I could hear him and I love them now and bought my own as well as Aida, Model Prisoner, and Civilian.
I'd give my left pinky finger to have seen that live.
::cries::
I wanna GOOOO!!!
Unfortunately for me:
1) I'll only be 16 by then
2) I'm stuck here in Florida
and 3) It's sold out
I expect a full report, those of you who are going!
I wanna go, too! But I can't because:
A) it's sold out
B) I'm younger than 18
C) My parents would NOT let me go to another Adam-related thing
D) I already have plans for the 13th.
Grr... I hope he does another gig somewhere...like Kean again!
I think NoDayButToday2 has seen the OBC a couple times.. it was so long ago that I doubt she could really tell you anything you don't already know...
I would die to see the OBC. It's the perfect cast.
I always kind of regretted the fact that I could have gone to see the OLC but didn't. It would have been a chance to see some of the OBC members again, and it would have been interesting to see how they worked with the London actors. Oh, well.
well my Adam story's a bit like this.
I saw the Nat'l Tour of Rent when I was 11.
It was one of the most powerful theatrical experiences I ever had.
But of course, at eleven, my parents would not buy the CD so my Renthead-ship was put on hold.
Or so we thought.
My dad's friend gave my mother and I comps to see Aida (OBC). We walked in knowing absolutely nothing about it. We bought the CD as soon as intermission started. We were both crying by the end of the show.
On our way back to the hotel, we literally walked into the barricades.
I saw a few girls talking hysterically to a tall man with red hair. As one of them was getting her picture taken, I heard her say, "I can't believe I'm getting my picture taken with the original Roger!"
I read the Playbill. I knew who it was.
My timid 13 year old finger tapped him lightly on his arm (I couldn't reach his shoulder) he turned around and I said "Mister Pascal, could you sign my program?"
and he said "Sure sweetie"
and then my mom, who finally caught on, asked if she could take a picture of us. He obliged, side shoulder hugged me right as I blurted out "I think I saw you in Rent" and he said
"Really? You must have been pretty young!"
SNAP
I said "Thank you Mr.Pascal"
and he said "No problem sweetie. Take care!"
It was my first time stagedooring, and it was completely by accident. I'll never forget it.
Oh, and I finally got the Rent CD for a 15th Xmas Present.
::giggles::
You have a talent for saying memorable things at stage doors, you know that? ::ducks::
Don't you love how he calls you "sweetie"?
As most of you know, only Adam, Anthony, Wilson and Jesse came over to join the London cast. I loved the OLC, I personally prefered our Mimi to Daphne but I guess, Adam doesn't agree with me on that one
QM
NTG
we are NOT going to discuss that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
but yes, it made me feel special that he called me sweetie

I didn't say we were.
Are you enjoying Civilian? What's your favorite song?
He called you "Sweetie"?? Aww!! That's so nice!
I think he calls everyone sweetie...Or no...he called me "honey" the second time. But you get the gist!
