Rock it, Adam! (whooo hoo!!!!)

I'm off to go get this monkey business straightened out with someone who isn't my mother and who can be somewhat rational, like I'm not being right now.

I'll be back soon, hopefully.

Goodbye and good luck.

I like that song because it reminds me that I've always got those things and no one can take that away from me... and if they did, I'd be too dead to care. Actually, you could lose some of those things via an accident or a bad disease, but I've been blessed enough to not have those things happen yet.

Can you tell I've been in an optimistic mood lately? Or maybe it isn't so much optimism as it is that I've just finally come to terms with the fact that if SH*T is going to happen, I can't stop it, I can only deal with it and enjoy life when it is good.

*claps for nia*

I'm going to steal your optimism. I don't think I can particularly put it to good use at the moment, but I'm stealing it anyway. And you're right. Sh*t does happen and you can't do anything to stop it - that's my usual outlook... but sometimes there are things that just cause me to lose perspective, I guess.

Anyway, yeah. This has nothing to do with Adam. *gives up*

Quick, someone take that knife away from Cam!

Sorry you're having such a bad time with this show. I hope things improve.

MISTAKEN IDENTITY?

I've been bugged by this whole Leno thing - it just doesn't add up. I went back to the ATC post, and the first poster didn't seem all *that* familiar with Adam. Then a response or two down, someone said "wait, I'm confused, Adam is singing with Alter Bridge?" Then other posters chimed in asking about reruns and stuff. So this whole thing may hinge on a mistaken identity, especially if bdwaygirl's friend picked up this info on ATC also. I went to Alter Bridge's site, and their lead singer, Myles Kennedy, does have something of a physical *and* vocal resemblance to Adam, even a (much bigger) tattoo on his right bicep. Of course Adam is much more attractive, but it might have been enough for someone with only a minor interest him to make a mistake.

That's always a good attitude to take, nia. Rock it, Adam! (whooo hoo!!!!)

This whole Jay Leno thing is interesting. You'd think sh-k-boom would announce it; after all, they've been very good about alerting fans of appearances so far. Unless, like someone mentioned, it was a last minute thing. Or someone mistaking someone else for Adam, which is inexcusable, but what can you do. Rock it, Adam! (whooo hoo!!!!)

That's kind of weird, Chloe. And yeah - I'd expect Sh-k-Boom to have been shilling of it. Hm. I'll guess I'll tape the re-run, just in case.

::joins amasis in applauding Nia's attitude::

Right, and what about the band? I doubt if he would go on a show like Leno with just his acoustic guitar. I'm beginning to think that the ATC poster was mistaken, throwing a pebble into a pond with very wide ripples. Someone has also posted on the Sh-K-Boom site asking about this. He probably wouldn't, but I could definitley picture him strutting out there, all proud, and just letting it rip. Rock it, Adam! (whooo hoo!!!!)

Ha ha! Right!

I've been trying to find information about that Pink Floyd project, but there doesn't seem to be anything out there. I got hold of the movie version, and judging by that, making a musical from it is going to be tough. Roger Waters was also deeply involved with the movie, by the way, even though he wasn't completely happy with how it turned out. It's all very, very interior and abstract. Bob Geldof does quite a good job as the main character, but is really passive, almost says nothing, and only sings a couple of songs. There's a lot of animation by Gerald Scarfe too, some weird stuff with copulating flowers.

Anyway, if they do manage to turn this into a musical, I can't imagine what it would be like - either very different from the movie or *very* strange!

Thanks for the kind words, guys. Rock it, Adam! (whooo hoo!!!!)

You know, I'dve thought that Adam would've tried to work his way into Lennon, being a huge Beatles fan and all. I wonder if he did go for it and didnt' get it? It's too bad, I would love to hear him and Julia Murney together on CD...

Chloe, I'm not familiar with the movie (didn't know it existed) but thanks for posting about it. I really can't imagine what it is supposed to be, some kind of biography or maybe just a musical revue, I don't know...

Emcee, hope you feel better. I'll share my cookies.

I would have definitely loved to see him and Julia Murney together-- they are both amazing.

As for the Pink Floyd thing, the movie scares me. I'm really curious to see how they make it into a Broadway musical.

It's very possible she could have thought it was Adam. She doesn't read the boards or is into Broadway in any way, shape or form, except from whatever she hears me go on and on about. Even then, I'm sure she's only paying minimal attention since none of it means anything to her.

Cam, I know you were only joking about the suicide thing, but... Today a friend at work told us that her niece's husband, hung himself the other night. He was 28 and has a little girl who just turned 2 a couple weeks ago. I've never met them, but I had such a sick feeling in my stomach all day. My friend had said she spent a good portion of Christmas day talking to him and now she's questioning what she could have done or said that might have been able to help him, had she known he was so tortured.

I know most of the time these things are said in jest, but I guess today it just hit a little to close to home. Sorry if my rambling annoyed anyone.

I hung out with Cheyenne Jackson in his dressing room waayyyyyy before he tickled D2.
