Emcee! It's good to be back... for now. And I missed you too and some others as well.
Let's make an official appointement to have some fun on here within the next few days. I have been skim-reading a bit of this and was wondering where some people have been. We need to get this thread back to where it used to be. It's not the same anymore! *cries*

Nia has different 'thread' priorities these days, haven't seen Bdwaygirl on here for ages, NTG is not on here as much, same goes for ponine, Undiscovered has left us a LONG time ago. What's happening? Where have the founders of this thread gone, they are deserting us!

I shall PM some of the former regulars tonight and make sure they get their arses back on here. *huffs*

I really enjoyed it. I love TOpher so that made it all the more better! I haven't been to the movies in a while so i was glad i saw this. You should see it.

QM, so glad you're back! Hope your time away was good.

So, I've just found out the answer to the U2 cover mystery, according to some posters at the Rent Live Journal. Apparently there are *two* versions of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" performed by Rent casts. One was done by the OBC in 1996 during the Gypsy of the Year awards and can be found on the BC/EFA site (though I haven't checked this out myself yet), and the other was done in '04 at The Cutting Room by some of the cast members at that time. I'm pretty sure this second version is the one that I once heard on one of the Adam sites, since it didn't sound like the OBC to me. However, some of you may have the first version, which is reportedly amazing.

I must have the 2nd one, then, where the audience is asked, "How many people are drunk out here tonight?" But, wait, '04? The first voice that sings sounds like Adam... or am I mistaken? But it sounds like some people are screaming, "Cary"... who knows.

I don't have either of them, so I'm only passing on what I've read, but supposedly in the OBC version, the first person to sing is Aiko, then everyone comes in on "but I still haven't found what I'm looking for," then Adam sings the next verse.

I think Cary was in the cast at the time the second one was done.

And this *isn't* available at the BC/EFA website as far as I can tell. Sorry!

I think I might have the first one... I can clearly make out the voices of Adam, Daphne, and Idina.
