haha, mine has someone saying "How many of y'all are drunk out here tonight?!" People cheer, and she goes "that's alright! Keep drinkin'... just don't drive!" or something.

YES! That's the one I have. It's like 7 minutes long. I like it!
Yeah, I'm almost certain that's the OBC.
*waits in suspense some more* I wonder how long the lottery takes...
No Q for Emcee... oh well. But I did meet Johnny again today, and that's really all I wanted. Wanted to say goodbye.
Poor thing's so sad.
I can just wa-LISTEN to it at 7, I suppose.

Aw, sorry, em. That's too bad. But sounds like you can still have a good evening.
It's ok, I saw the show about a year ago. In the unlikely event that I can snag tickets, I may go see John at Joe's Pub on Friday. This is crazy; same as with Idina... I wasn't sad until the day of.

haha. awww that stinks emcee. at least you got to see it once though.
wait....what are you guys talking about with the song or something?? i feel so left out. lol.
The U2 cover the RENT cast did, ponine. Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, or something... I think.
It's ok! I have such wonderful memories.

o0o0oo!!! now i remember. i wish i got to hear that.
Sorry it didn't work out for you, Emcee.
I'm so working in the dark here, but if they sound drunk and silly, I really doubt that it's the OBC version. That was from the Gypsy of the Year competition, which takes place in a Broadway theater. Though I imagine it's a fun event, I doubt if it's *that* much fun. "Drunk and silly" sounds more like it would be at a club like The Cutting Edge, where the '04 version took place.

But it really sounds like Adam...
Is it, emcee? You'd probably know better than I would.

Aw, thanks. I just can't bring myself to change it. But you just changed yours! It's all... different... But I like it!
Here's the pertinent information from the thread. It just sounds to me like the OBC version was very together. I remember listening to the one posted at Adam Pascal.org before that part of the site was taken down, and it didn't sound that good to me - people were singing out of tune. At the time I wasn't as familiar with the OBC voices as I am now, but they I wasn't sure it was them.

Hi. I finally got to download the "Still Haven't Found" song file from Yousendit.com (a big thank you to the poster for that!!!); but sadly, it is not the one at all that I was thinking of. There is another version out there that is the OBC and it is so freaking amazing - I get chills listening to it. But I only have the first minute and a half. The one that was on here to DL was um....well, I didn't think it sounded good...at all...and I did not recognize any of the voices. The one I am hoping that SOMEONE has the full file for starts out with Aiko Nakasone singing solo: "I have climbed the highest mountains, I have run through the fields only to be with you. Only to be with you. But I still haven't found what I'm looking for." And then the WHOLE cast comes in in breathtaking harmony: "But I still haven't found what I'm looking for." And THEN it rocks out as Adam Pascal comes in singing, "I have...*something*, I have *something*, I have scaled these city walls, these city walls-" and then it cuts off.
PLEASEEEE PLEEEEEEEEEASE PLEEEEEEASSSSSSSSSE if ANYONE has the full file for this song, or knows where I can get it or see it (if it's a video or something), PLEASE let us know! I know it is from the Gypsy of the Year Contest, too - from EQUITY fights AIDS.
Ok. Peace.

I thought the download was the version of the song done at the Cutting Room by more recent castmembers?

It is. It was done in February '04 by Cary, Karmine, Dom, Mark Richard Ford, and others.

Your welcome, and I'm sorry it isn't the one you thought it was. I was under the impression it was the OBC since I found it on an Adam Pascal website. If you find it, hook me up too.
Edited to make smaller - and thanks for that link, Alllie! I'm so glad you haven't changed your avatar, it always makes me smile.

Yeah, so you have the same one as us... Man, now I really want to hear the other version!!
ditto. I always thought the one i have was the obc since i sear one of the voices sounds like adam. Oh well.
"I was under the impression it was the OBC since I found it on an Adam Pascal website."
That's what I thought!! But now that I listen to it again, that's not Adam. But it sounds SO much like Daphne and Idina in the beginning, but I guess it's not them.

GAH! So what's the concensus? The 7 minute song, in which someone asks the audience if they're drunk, is... who?
from what most people are saying, the later cast. If it is true that aiko sings the beinning solo that the 7 minute version is not the obc.

Hello all. QM, so glad you're back. I took a short bww break myself; it was very refreshing. I hope you enjoyed your time off as well. And yes, I do my very best to drag you all into the deepest recesses of the gutter. Of course, you can always play with your dirty laundry if you really want. I'd do Adam's laundry, he needs to take those clothes off so I can go wash them...
I COMPLETELY agree about missing people- bww seems to be slowly dying. *crosses fingers and hopes that some of the Founders make an appearance later*
You WOULD do Adam's laundry, too, nia.

Only because he'd have to take his clothes off. I don't do chores unless there's a reward to reap.
