I'm sorry, Allie.
Oh, argh. So remember how my third copy of Civilian was for my younger brother because I'm on a "WE WILL NOT BURN ADAM'S CD!!!!" mission? It had been pretty successful, at least in my small tunnel-vision-esque circle. I mean, I'm sure people are burning it, but I won't know of any if I can help it. Anywho, my brother has been so great; he's been telling all of his friends in the drama club about Civilian, and letting them listen to a song or two, and then if they like it (which many of them have), they can buy it. Apparently he lent his copy to one friend, and she adored it so much that she kept it for like a month, which I'm so thrilled for. But she burnt a copy off of his. I mean, that's one strike out of like 15 other kids who have bought the CD, and in the grand scheme I guess it doesn't *really* matter, but it hurts my fangirl heart. I'll admit that I burn CD's... not many, but I do, but that I couldn't ever do it with this. I care too much.

Aw, it'll be okay. But I know how you feel. People sometimes offer to burn me a copy of a CD, but I don't think it's the same. I, for one, like to have the CD case and the actual CD! These people spend so much time and effort to produce the CD, and it's really unfair to not help them out.
Yay for your brother, though! I plan on playing mine loudly (when it gets here) so everyone on my floor can hear it.
yaaay, good plan!
*gives Emcee a big hug for being the best fan ever*
I'm like you too. I refuse to burn copies of Adam's CDs, he needs our support. If people I know like it, then can buy it. If they are my good friends they get it as a present from me.
We gotta do what we gotta do, right?
QM
*whines hopelessly*
I tried! And succeeded, for the most part. That's why I dragged friends to the CD signing! In the big scheme of the music industry, I don't care as much, because a handful of fans' ardent support isn't going to matter. But Adam needs us!
But yay. Best fan ever!
It's all about making them see 'the light'.
QM
And to that I say...
"I look out the bedroom window, waiting just to see the light..."
LOL. I hope it's not against Adam fangirlness, but the only thing like that I've done is record various Adam songs from everything he's done onto a cassette tape for a friend. But she will have to buy Civilian!
Hey, is there any statistic of how many copies have been sold yet?
Addict, I believe he's been doing really well with Civilian. Didn't they mention he hit the Top 20 of the Billborad Charts for Internet Sales? Now that is FANTASTIC!
He is always highly ranked on Amazon too.
Emcee, yes indeed. *does her Adam dance*

I think it's different with cast recordings, Adamaddict. I've burned copies of those. And the old stuff or the stuff from random gigs... those recordings aren't sold anywhere, with the exception of very few, like New York State of Mind. So no, I'm not upset with you for that.
Keep dancing, QM!
Grrrr. I have this paper to write. That I don't at all want to be begin. *cries*
Well, it was a compilation of Rent, Aida, MP, and Civilian. I wish I could have all those recordings of Pity the Child, New York State of Mind, and Someone Saved My Life Tonight (he was AMAZING in that), but they were taken off the adampascal.org site too soon.
I have one too....don't worry just think of Adam--wait no, we'd better get off of here now.
heh, I'll still be here. I multitask.... it keeps me alert.
Yes, Adam is a major part of our multi-tasking!
Hey, I'm a leading actor!
Addict-- when did he sing "Pity the Child"? I didn't know there was a recording of that, or even that he sang that.
He sang that at the Chess concert in Sept. '03. It's incredible! It used to be up on the media section of adampascal.org.
I don't even think I'd heard of that song before hearing of his singing it. It's such a moving song, and Adam really brings the emotion (of course); I think it kinda relates to him too, since his parents are divorced.
Adam did Pity the Child at Chess... 9/25/03, Diva. It was never legally recorded.
ETA - addict beat me to it, and I'm not sure the date is correct. Either 9/25 or 9/22, I think.

This makes me sad. The entire cast is amazing. And I <3 Josh Groban. A lot.
