eeee Josh Groban. His singing is amazing, but he makes Adam look like an award-winning actor.
I know..it should be illegal NOT to record it! My friend loves Josh Groban, so now she's getting into Adam because of this.

Hahaha, really?? That's funny. And he went to performing arts high school or something, I think. And acted, a LOT. Teehee, well, he's gorgeous, his voice is gorgeous, and if he makes Adam look even better, I have no problems whatsoever!
Yeah... he just sort of stood there. He looked really nervous, and he also looked like he was about four. He's just adorable and sounded great, but I don't think a stage with people like Adam, Raúl, Julia Murney and Sutton Foster was the place to stick him.
Some of those pics from the rehearsals--Woa! I guess Adam and Julia were just really in character!
Oh, I believe it was the 22nd. I remember when I thought that would be my last chance of ever meeting him, (since he had left Aida) desperately trying to get tickets, but it was a benefit and too much money.

And his hair was bad that night. Heh, Adam was HEAVILY made-up that night, wasn't he? I'm looking through the Adam-Pascal gallery pictures, and in one, you can SO see the eyeshadow.
I agree with you that he was DEFINITELY out of his element. I've seen other performances of Josh's, and he's always joking with the audience and looked so confident. But he had every right to be nervous up there with those people!!
Eeee... not the best picture.
I LOVE that picture of Adam, Raúl and Julia.
That one of Adam and Josh was really strange. Adam looks like he's going to kill someone.

I loooooooove the rehearsal pics. Adam and Julia certainly look like they're erm... good friends.
I love the close-up from the rehearsal where Adam's in the black tank top, and he's just grabbed Julia and kissed her. I that's at the point where his character is simply furious with hers.
Allie, Adam looked unbelievable that night. He was so thin (this was right before he took Cabaret) and just.... gah. But I think there was some makeup for sure. The picture you posted is from the actual Chess match scene. Josh's character sings this goregous solo, and Adam's just like "CHECK! CHECK! CHECK!!!!!"

I NEED MORE OF THIS!!! I'm seriously in love with "Anthem". The minute I heard it, I'm like, "Josh Groban needs to sing this. NOW."
Em, did you go to this concert?!?
I did not. I did, however *cough*see it*cough*
I'll be going this year, no matter what. Adam, Raul and Julia are like the Actors' Fund staples. I think I might volunteer to work or something with a friend.

DAMN YOU AND YOUR COLD, EM!!!
*cries* PLEASE, please, please somebody get me to New York.
*coughs more*
Appologies for the erm... illness.
You guys know that that performances was probably what got him Cabaret, right? He never auditioned. He thinks that someone saw Chess (at which he was uber-impressive) and he got the call for Cabaret like a week later. Granted, apparently he'd been poking at Roundabout for a while wanting the part, so maybe they were just like "yeah, let's shut this guy up. And hey, he's sexy."
just popping in quickly to say hi and that i love adam's version of pity the cild! I have to get myself to a benefit!!! ALright off to leave! I am so busy!!!!!!!!!

Hehe. That's funny. Well, whatever works!
*shares drink with Emcee, so as to try and catch said cold*
I love the pics of him just alone smiling in all different ways. One of those was used for a little section they had on him in like "USA Weekend" or something. In the week of the Tower Records and Adam on the WB11, my co-worker found him in that. My dad found him the paper in "Wednesday in New York" about the Knitting Factory. My sister found him like front page cover when he was closing Cabaret. Does anyone else have everyone around you finding Adam in newspapers?
I heard about a lot of those, but it was before I moved to NYC. I never saw any of that at home, but I think you could definitely find it here, and in Westchester, for the obvious reasons.
Wow, I did not know that--(about chess leading to cabaret)!
Hey, they're having that concert this year? They didn't have the *annual* concert last year, did they??
Last year was HAIR.
OOhh..I see. I thought it was Chess every year. But that was the 3rd one for chess, I got it.
OK, Em, if you try to work there this time, I think Adam will invite you to be in all the Broadway.com pics, he'll know you so well by then.
Oh, how good my life would be.
does anyone know if it is possiable to help usher at these events? and em- your life would great!!! actually i am sure your life is great!!
