Chloe - Jesse is the only one I actually saw smoking....
Wow, did I only write that in February? It feels like months ago already. But I did become interested in him because of seeing Aida, and saw it again before it closed because of that, so I feel my memories of it are pretty good. I think what I was trying to convey was how the more obsessive part of my interest gradually (and sneakily) overtook me. And I'm flattered that you remember what I said so well!
Thanks, Emcee. Since you were around a considerable amount of time, that reassures me somewhat. At least they aren't all chain smokers. However, one of those pictures on CB that I mentioned a few posts back shows Adam smoking. It could have been for whatever scene they were shooting, I suppose, but if not, I'm upset that he would do that to his health and his voice.
There you go... I have a very good memory (the search engine is a wonderful thing to prove my point from time to time). Hence I can remember Adam's performances so well!
So how did you feel about the 'open mouth and gasping for air' in the bed-chamber scene and the sailing hands? Not one of his strongest moments, am I right?
QM
hahahahaa, QM, you describe it perfectly. Chloe, I heard that Adam was. I'm pretty sure that he doesn't do it on a regular basis, but I didn't see it. I'm glad I didn't. I know he's pretty careful about taking care of his voice, so - as bad as it still is for his voice - I'm assuming it was kind of spontaneous. I hope, anyway. He's smarter than that.
He used to be a proper chain-smoker when he was in Rent. If you were a smoker you can't just ocassionally take another puff, you'd be addicted straight away again.
And thanks Emcee, care to see my FFTB dance?
QM
Do the dance!!
QM. How come I wasn't treated to your version of the FFTB dance back in November? I missed out!

'Nothing is an accident, we are free to have it all *takes a deep breath in*, we are what we want to be, it's in ourselves *starts walking backwards to centre of the stage with fists raised to chest* to rise and fall, this is easy to believe *raises both hands to the side of the body and starts walking to the edge of the stage*, when distant places call to me *does funny motion going through the whole body which looks a bit naughty*, it's harder from the palace yard *knees slightly bent, pointing off-stage with one hand whilst shaking the head to show disapproval*, fortune favours the free *beats with one fist against the chest, a bit of a King Kong gesture*, fortune favours the young *puts one foot in front of the other*, fortune favours the braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave *holds note whilst slowly raising both arms (expanded). QM
Well, all I can is that those moments didn't particularly jar me. If I had seen the show five or six times maybe they would have, who knows? In my work I watch scenes over and over again, and that definitely can change how I perceive them.
The smoking - that does upset me. According to an old Times article I posted here a while back, Adam stopped smoking during Rent to try to help with his vocal problems. I *really* hope he hasn't gone back to it. I can see how it's a huge temptation for performers though. (Dancers are notorious smokers.) Someone once wrote that if it weren't so addicting and unhealthy, nicotine would be the perfect drug, since it increases energy and alertness and helps people lose weight.

Bdwaygirl!!!! I miss you SO much! QM
Well, he has been forced to lose weight.... ugh, I don't know. QM, BRILLIANT. ROTFLMAO.
Awww. Thanks! I flit in and out of here a bit, but I'm always reading what you guys are up to! I LOVED your rendition above! You've got it down pat!

Awww, thanks. Well, I have seen Aida once or twice, you know
Bdwaygirl, I hardly see your beautiful face here anymore, we miss you.
And I have not forgotten about something I promised you! And Nia for that matter. I should have it within the next few days, FINALLY!
QM
Yay! I was wondering about that, but didn't want to be a PITA and bug you.
Yes I do remember that you saw AIDA those couple times!
I was just looking at my pics from the concert the end of November and wishing another concert could pop up somehow. I never did get any of those scanned. I need to do that soon. We had a good time watching our boy, even with all the muppet antics!

I wish there was a concert. So badly.
Me too, Chloe... that song and the little dance routine (and the energy) is EXACTLY why I love Adam.
Bdwaygirl, you wouldn't have bugged me, I just forget all the time. Within this week, promise. And awww, good times. Looks like we have to wait for another gig for sometime now.
QM
:::sigh::: I know.

I miss him already. *marches to East Village*
Yeah, we'll have to settle for whatever leaks out from the shoot for a while. On a positive note, I've already bookmarked the main SF newspaper website.
On the "chemistry" front, one of those aforementioned CB pictures seems to be of Adam and Rosario having a big hug.
Emcee, you have the inside scoop, but someone posted that they'll be shooting on the Brooklyn Bridge on Wednesday. That could even get some news coverage, as it'll no doubt mean closing it down for a while.
ETA: This paragraphing thing is driving me absolutely nuts!

haaaaaaate the paragraphing. I can't remember the rest of the locations off the top of my head, but I'd love to see it on TV or something.
My paragraphs show up in the preview, but not after I post - unless I update. Then they show up. Are you seeing four paragraphs in my last post?
I'm going to be too busy next Wednesday to check, but maybe some of you could watch out for items on the local news. I wouldn't be surprised if there were some kind of story.

Yeah, now I see them. They've been working and not working on and off since last night. For a little while, my long post about the set was one paragraph!
And then you updated it. I guess that's the key, but what a pain in the ass!
