I went back to the Rent LJ to check, and the poster said that a friend with contacts in the news business is the one who told her about the Brooklyn Bridge on Wednesday. I'm sure *someone* will do a story.

Quick catch-up
1) Agreed entirely on being able to criticize someone you're a fan of. That's what separates the muppets from the sane fans- people have a little sense about it and don't just go 'AHHH OMG HES SO AWESOME LOL'
2)Smoking bugs me. It shouldn't, probably, but I dunno. *shrug* And I really hope he doesn't wear his lovely vocal chords out. It'd really depress me.
3) QM, you made my night. The 'thing' and a special encore of FFTB? I love you.
4) Where are the CB pics?

Hey, guys, just checking in! Funny story: My friend brought her DVD's of Wonderfalls, which is the funniest show I've seen in awhile. So we watched a couple episodes of it last night, and all through the show, there was this one actress that I couldn't help but think, "Hmm, I could see her as Joanne." I don't know why! She didn't particularily look like a Joanne, but there was something about her. So I went on imdb.com to look her up. Tracie Thoms. I almost had a heart attack! I'd never seen her in anything before this!

At first I thought it was some kind of play structure because it was next to a playground, but I think it's just a sculpture. I walked by it; it's enormous!

Looking in on my way out --- the guy who took the pictures explains in the first post on that thread that the sculptural part of the Rent set is supposedly based on this piece, at Jonathan Larson's suggestion. Good night all!

Maybe it's supposed to be like the metal sculpture on stage right during the show?
The pictures are nifty. The one with Adam hugging Rosario (is that her?) is really cute and I love all their little chairs lined up together. Anthony had some scary red eye going, though. He looks possessed.

Wow. That makes me really glad I accidentally walked the wrong way and got to see it. We looked at it for a while, wondering what it might be. Didn't click.
Adam's hugging Idina in that picture. Idina's in the black, Rosario is one of two in the white coat, Wilson's the other. Rosario has a hat on.
Chairs = happy me, because I was RIGHT THERE.

Beacuse the one in the show is BASED on that. That thing isn't part of the set, it's just randomly there.

I like the junky metal, though I'm not sure why...
And as for those pictures-- if it wasn't for his hair, those would be my favorite pictures. *grumbles because he doesnt have short hair like in '96*

The hair is amaaaaaaazing. I'm so at peace with it.
Not sure what's up with the sweater. My only idea there is that I think that's What You Own, and an entire year's gone by. He's going away, and abandoning his guitar and his dreams. Maybe that's why he's not dressed like a rock star anymore.

Yeah, but even the other pictures... where is the grunge? He looks all clean. I imagine Roger to be dirty and unshaven and have a gaunt, slightly AIDS patient/homeless person/depressed look about him. Adam just looks like a nice regular healthy guy in the movie. It bothers me.

He's so skinny. The AIDS patient thing is absolutely there. He's SO thin. He shouldn't be so clean-shaven, though.
