Future Arsonists of America, m'dear. I made it up with my neighbor years ago. We were always setting things on fire. And I haven't heard the full fire alarm story, actually. Care to tell me?
I'd love to
*pulls up chair*
So, it's opening night of Hello Dolly
Everyone is very excited and estatic
Places are called
The band is just about ready to start
When suddenly, the fire alarm goes off
What ended up happening was that one of our taller chorus boys was stretch his arms before his entrance and his elbow tripped the alarm
All the actors have to run outside
In costume
In the pouring rain
Star2b, that's the kind of story you'll be telling for the next 20 years - but I'm sorry everyone had to get all wet!
Yes, a green Rent Adam avatar, in honor of St. Pat's Day and the end of the NY Rent shoot - and by order of the Supreme Ruler.
Sorry, I'm about to collapse on my keyboard, so I'll say good night too.
Goodnight!
ETA - temporary avatar change tomorrow to bid farewell to the NY shoot.

The Supreme Ruler implores Chloe to sleep well and gives permission to broadwaystar2be to kill the idiot who set off the alarm, or at least remove his arm in a painful manner so that it won't happen again.

I must admit Chloe, once I found out it wasn't an emergency, I grabed my raincoat and some umbrellas for other people
But my mom went absolutely paparazzi on me and was clicking the camera away at the drenched cast
ETA: hehe, nia, I would do just that but he's a really sweet kid and it was an honest mistake. I'm mean, what am I gonna do, stand on a box to strangle him

Okay, I uploaded my pics, though my computer is being really slow tonight and refusing to even upload them in an e-mail. But once I get past these technical difficulties, hopefully eventually, if anyone wants to see the pics, PM me.
Hey Chloe, sorry didn't catch your response earlier. Thanks, I guess the only lesson I could come up with is...persistence pays off and don't give up when it seems things aren't going your way? Because I guess after a while I could have just gone home and given up on the whole thing. Yeah, that's at least the best I could have come up with.
em- that was an amazing post. it really made me confident that everythings going to work out and that the movie will be truely great! thanks so much for posting- sorry you didnt get to meet adam... again.
Nonono! Don't kill the person who set it off. Just kill the two people who were shouting the M-word as the orchestra was warming up. It was entirely their fault.
Okay, enough threadjacking.
Something about Adam...
Oh yeah. My homework for my film class this weekend is to create a poster for a movie of my choosing. Guess what I chose?
question about the movie:
when is it set? like.. what year does it take place?
I'm glad, Elle.
And it's really okay that he wasn't there. I just wanted to go see it again. I'm the kind of person who needs closure, and when I left, everything was really quiet, instead of it being almost in the middle of the camera rolling. I got to say goodbye to Anthony, and it was.... really okay.
There's a lot of different talk about when it's taking place. Anthony posted somewhere in the 1987-1989 range. There's no exact date reference in the show, and I don't know if there will be one in the movie, but it does need to look at least a little bit period. Obviously, it's not taking place in 2005 or something. There are a few discrepancies about where the date should be because of things like AZT availability and the Thelma and Louise date conflict, but I think they're more concerned about making it look like a general time period than tacking an exact date to it. The basic matter is that the East Village of the 80's and early 90's was NOTHING like it is now. It's much, much safer now.
Oh, ETA - remember how I posted that Rosario's Without You looked like an interpretive dance, but less weird? Apparently it's because she's drugged out. Works for me.
What the...
I definitely posted a couple minutes ago. And it definitely had my name on the last updatd thing. And it definitely doesn't show up now.
AHHHH! THE BWW MONSTER IS EATING MY POSTS!
