re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

Hey there folks. Had a fun day at school today-more details will be posted in my LJ.

There's still no homework for moi. I'm so lucky, it seems like.

Anyway, I'm going to surf around a bit more, and then I'm going to call my sixth grade teacher and see if she came and used her comps for opening weekend. Probably will water after that, because if I don't, I will get my ass kicked.

How was everyone else's day?

re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

What are you watering? Plants? Sorry, just asking because when we're around the barn we use things like that when we talk about the horses Like, Go water the horses," Or, "Go hay the horses"
Well, I'm glad he got away with it.

re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

Wow, gotta love how disorientated you are when you wake up from a long nap(first official one of the school year...) was about to be like Gav, you surf??(as in ocean...oy.)

Yeah, I didn't know about the PG13 either, I mean for him to explain that all to me...okay I love love Greg but I also love Anthony. More and more I get excited for the Rent movie...ooh, and did you guys know he is the reason I came to BWW? I saw on playbill.com that the original cast members were being considered for the Rent movie, went to imdb to inspect, and they gave a link to BWW where Anthony had posted.

So awesome homework...for English, I have to write a compare/contrast essay...our teacher said there are 3 purposes for them...one to show one is superior to the other, two to show how things that seem the same are different, or vice-versa. So our assignment is to do that for two fairy tales or movies or TV shows or any form like that. Guess who's doing broadway? So, so many intriguing possibilites but I finally settled on one w/ a great purpose...an essay about why DRS should have won the Tony over Spamalot, and explain why it is a superior show. Yaay for homework I'm actually excited about!

re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

I'm currently writing an essay comparing the slave narratives of Olaudah Equiano and Oroonoko stupid head...It seems to be less fun than your assignment somehow...

And Gilmore Girls is on in less than half and hour...someone tell me thatI'm not the only fan on this thread...and If I am I must give my apologies for your collectively horrific lack of taste...*cough* In a completely non-judgemental way ...of course re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!!
So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.~Office Space

re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

I just finished reading a long ass packet on Galileo vs Aristotle and all this philisophical stuff. Now I'm off to read Great Expectations by Charles Dickons!

re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

Wow Liz, you school must be pretty tough if you're reading Aristotle in your grade. I did some work with him in college last year and even then I needed lots of help from cliff notes and explanations from the teacher to understand it.

Sorry Cat, kinda agree my assignment is funner(I love that word even if it doesn't exist). But I started it and just the part about why DRS' score is good went on for 3 pages, so I decided if I'm going so in depth, I could just write about the scores and books and do away with production value, that's my weakest argument anyway, the only thing I really could think of was the acting b/c I don't want to admit it but I can't really criticizne Spamalot's sets or costumes.

Taking a break, but yeah, this is fun.

Hiya Gav!

Amanda- It isn't as much reading Aristotle as it is reading what Galileo had to say about Aristotle, hard to explain. We'll be debating over them I think sometime in the near future, lol. We're not studying his theories per se. More the following that he had and the fact that nobody ever questioned him. It's actually dare I say, interesting.

re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

Ahh okay. No, I don't doubt it's interesting, I really enjoy philosophy and agree it's interesting, just difficult to get through. Don't particularly reading Galileo and his opinions of Aristotle but I can understand it's certainly easier than trying to get through Aristotle's "Nichomachean Ethics." though like I said, now that I understand it, I find it fascinating, actually wrote a paper on it last year....all this before the breakdown of course..

re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

lol, we haven't studied anything remotely close to Aristotle. Last year the closest we probably got was studying The Allegory of the Cave by Plato.

re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!!

You guys are lucky to be reading about philosophy. All I get to read about is Freud, Mavlov, and Piaget. And Freud was a freak. Although I've known that for years.

My history teacher last year double majored in Philosophy and man oh man, he was intense about it. Our class had these long debates about god knows what and all of these philosophical discusions and such. What this had to do with the ancient Chinese empire I really do not know.. lol.
