OMG! AMANDA! WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL US THAT YOU GOT KISSED!? BY MATT MORRISON!
wo-ah! haha, that's AWESOME!
that is so cool about his prom picture, too! way too cute, man! (how much was it going for? i'm curious now!)
I'm soooo upset I didn't go to this!!! MANNNNN.
Yeah Panda. Is there a reason why you didn't tell us about the kiss?
Glad that you all had a great time though. I expect full, in depth reports by the morning. With pictures.
And I really want to see this Nobert Prom picture.
*thread jacking*
shiksa goddess is an awesome song.
the end.
:)
Focusingonmoviesmatt bought it...posted about it on the main flea market thread..."the best item i bought was nobert leo butz prom picture."
Edit to add...Patronus:"A friend bought me a Norbert prom pic as well. I believe they were $5."
ok, this is probably going to be long. sorry.
got at the flea market with my friend. Called Kerrie but she didn;t pick up so I called Amanda and left a message. I started looking around then Amanda called me back and told me that they were on line for the autograph table thingy. Had no ideait was going to be that crowded. I got on line and saw them a few minutes later. (Awesome to finally meet you guys-Amanda, Kerrie, and Ryan.) took me an hour to get to the line and was able to see Amanda, Kerrie and Ryan a few more times. (thanks for the gift Ryan, going to watch it really soon!) finally got to the table, got Victoria Clark's autograph. then i saw that greg was leaving. I yelled out his name and it seemed liked he sort of recognized me. I gave him his gift (the mini 'Romance for Dummies" book but taped an 'i' over the 'a' like Mamie said~good idea mamie!) He thanked me and ran off, and then more actors came for the 1pm table signing. So, I got (all together):
Victoria Clark
Norbert Leo Butz
Rosie O'Donnell (her kid was with her)
James Mitchell (don't know what he has been in)
Robin Strasse (don't know her. Some soap opera she told me?)
Kelli O'Hara
Cheyenne Jackson
Christopher Sieber
David Hyde Pierce
when I left the table, I saw greg with a woman who was trying to take a picture of both of them. I guess it failed casue Greg took the camera and try to do it. I walked over to them and said I could, and Greg was like "Thanks Dre." He remembered my name! I was happy. Then he talked to the woman and then he signed my poster, writing "pomme frites, Greg jbara" then he thanked me for the gift and gave me a hug! So sweet of him. He thought I was joining the rest of the BWW gang after the show but I told him I had to come back here (college). So that was sad. But cool!
I walked around a bit and tried for two raffles (I doubt that I won them. Not sure when they are going to be drawn). I got a "theatre dork" t-shirt, a ripped prop from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (the Vulgarian Suppreeion of Children Act) signed by some of the cast.
THEN, (Traci, you will die), I went to the Avenue Q table and realized that Bobby Lopez (guy who wrote music and lyrics) was there, signing stuff. So, I mentioned that I go to school with one of his sister-in-laws and that we are pretty good friends, what with living on the same floor and being in acting class together. Then i talked to his wife (my friend's sister) and then bought a t-shirt which he autographed and personalized. The t-shirt says (on front): "More Drinks, More Fun, YAAAAYYYYY!!!" and underneath that, Bobby wrote: "Dear Dre, Don't take this message literally and no alcohol for Linz (my friend) until she's 21! xoxo Bobby Lopez" So, that was cool! On the back it says: "The Bad idea Bears" and has pictures of them (no idea who they are).
Then went over to the DRS table and was looking around. found John Lithgow's caricture on a t-shirt that the whole cast has signed (printed, not personally signed t-shirt) and guess who was there? Jeffrey Lane ( he wrote DRS book). I sort of recognized him and it was only until the guy next to me, who must have known him personally, hinted at it. I told him he was great and that DRS was incredible and asked if he could sign the shirt I just got and he said yeah. then he gave me a "Nothing is too wonderful to be true" pin for free. That was cool.
Then i finally got the playbill yearbook. Love it. Did you guys see that Andrew's head shot is on the second page from all the rest? did they forget it then added it later? weird.
So, that was my day! Absolutely loved it! Sorry I didn't get to see you guys (amanda, Kerrie and Ryan) after that encounter, but we have other times when we can meet.
Kerrie, did you give Greg the thing yet or is that Wed.?
Jamie: yay for band, sucks for not coming in. But seeing a show, coolness. Not sure what you should see. Wicked if you can I guess.
Liz: sorry you had a crappy day. *tear*
Annie: not sure how much the caricture went for in the end. And you're right, having John staring at you the whole time would be awesome!
uhhh...I think that is all. going to watch Ryan's gift now (yay!) and so sorry for long post. But I think you guys enjoyed it.
Wow. Long day. But great day. Benefit was amazing. Too tired for detail.
Dre, I'm giving him everything on Wednesday, hopefully.
Time for sleep.
Yeah let me know if everything is okay with them. Gotta make one for wickedrentq now^^. No need for Jamie of course. She alrdy has one.
Teehee. Heehee.
Well, see as I was still typing, Kerrie and I were about to leave for dinner, and her keyboard kinda sucks, I kept pressing page up instead of shift...what I meant to say was what I did w/ Joe Cassidy, just you know say I have a special announcement that I love, love, love Matt Morrison, the end, realized I forgot that. But since it's been brought out, might as well tell the story...
So yeah I've posted here before but I know Matt through a friend, he's so sweet and cute and well straight and I just love him. You can actually use the search feature to find my last Matt story, pretty sure I posted it here, it was...Aug 24 I believe last time I saw him in Piazza.
Okay, so today he saw me when I was like 3 rows back in the line, hehe he cracked me up, kinda made a shocked face, then smiled and pointed at me...when I finally got to the table, they said he and Richard Thomas were leaving(didn't get my Waltons DVD signed, sad, will hafta wait for stage door) so Matt was going down to the table saying bye to ppl, hugging/kissing some, another friend of mine who found me begged him to sign before he left so then I was like I think I'll survive w/o you signing for me. He laughed and said yeah I think you have quite a few, I replied actually just one but that's fine. Anyway, he finished the table, then pretty much started patting/tapping everyone on his way back, so I really debated asking for something, b/c I just adore my Matt hugs, so finally I said I don't get a tap? Don't know if he heard tap wrong or just decided to do it anyway, but then he leaned over the table, not only hugged me but kissed me(first time he's ever done that!) As Kerrie and Ryan can attest I was very, very, very happy. Noticed lots of jealous faces at me, even death stares, sorry I don't usually enjoy making ppl jealous but this was just...ahh. I'm still smiling quite wide. Even totally random burst into giggles at McDonalds.
Heh Dre, he called us the BWW gang?
Concert was AMAZING. Good stories for that, but not going to classes tomorrow, more important stuff going on, so I'm sure I'll tell then. I'm not at all tired though, even w/ my 5 hours of sleep. Think it's adrenaline.
And just looked back at my post and realized I didn't even finish details at the flea market so I'll do that. Back to the table. So know Matt, know Greg, also Jenn Gambetese who's a sweetie and when she was like Hi Amanda! my friend Chrissi who found me and "cut" me turned to me and was like god Amanda, how many bway ppl know you? I cracked up. I was like honestly only those 3 at least by name. Let's see, got Laura Benanti's autograph, talked to her about into the woods which I loved, Victoria Clark nicely signed 3 playbills I brought for her(I told her to pick two) and happily leafed through an old Titanic one I found, and then I reminded her of speaking w/ her at the stage door about seeing every show nominated for a Tony and how sdhe deserves to win, and she thought and remembered and was like yeah I was very impressed w/ you. Heh.
Umm...soap ppl wrote things to my mom...oh then Kelli I think recognized me after stage doors and chatterbox, I dunno, gave me a smile and a nod like she knew me so I just took it as such but then when I got back to Kerrie's I realized she personalized it to Goldie--my mom, who the soap ppl wrote to. She thought that was me! Ah well. Talked to Dan Fogler about drawings he drew on the table cloth, Barrett for some odd reason started flipping through my Q playbill to realize Tags was still in the show and gave me a jokingly shocked face and I was like I've tried to go back to see you I swear, haven't been lucky at lotto, and he laughed. Ooh, other best part at table others than those I know. When I got to Cheyenne he was like hey! Wait, I know you...and I was like yeah I pet your dog...and he was like oh right softball hi!! lol I really love him, and now he knows me by face anyway hehe that made me really happy, I've met Norbie like 6 times and still not sure if he recognizes me. Oh, then got Jessica Hecht to sign my Friends IQ book and I think that was it. No I lied, then 1:00 ppl started coming and I got Chris Sieber, David Hyde Pierce and Tim Curry, who is basically as hard to get as Joanna so that was great...I told him I loved Muppet Treasure Island and he was like oh wow so do I! lol. Okay, twas fflea market.
Expect a bit more in-depth of FB, particular one DRS related parody and a detailed report on concert. Talk to everyone then, I'd say have a good night but you're all almost already sleeping...well in that case...good morning Annie.
Oopsy one more thing I checked and realized I didn't post earlier. At the DRS table I talked to and got autographs from Jeremy David(softballer so knew him already but he never heard me calling him at the stage door...), Laura Marie Duncan(sweetheart), Tom Galavanch, and Nina Goldman. My poster is really coming along, def have at least have the full company at this point. But man gotta figure out how to get Joanna the phantom of the Imperial.
I LOVE LAURA MARIE DUNCAN!
amanda, that is SO awesome. i should force bdway people to give me kisses! lol!
Hmm I'm at school and I'm bored. Entertain me?

WHoosh! SO, yesterday we were in the city early for the flea market, then for the benefit at night. So... We walk over to DRS, and see that DDennis is going on for John, so we run inside, and get SECONDROW CENTER seats. Gosh darn, I love this show. Lol. Greg was awesome. I love Dennix, and now have seen him more times than John!
I'm in school now and am quite bored. No need to entertain me though becsue I'm going to be taking a Psych test in 20 min. YaY. Fun stuff.
Gah, reading all your guys stories from yesterday are making me unbeleviably jealous. I must be there next year. No. Matter. What.
Dennis is amazing as Lawernce.
I agree with Jamie, all broadway actors should be required to kiss thier fans.
Dre: Ahhhhhh. A Personalized shirt from Bobby Lopez! You are so freggin lucky. I hate you! No, j/k. lol.
Another reason to love this guy... He asked my daughter if they had met before (they did while the show was still in previews!) Then signed her poster w/ a happy birthday & pomme fritas (I believe everyone got that! What a love!!
I'm sorry Traci! I sort of knew you would. haha. Yeah, he was really nice. Did not know he was going to write that much.
Jeffrey Lane was really nice too. I really wish I brought my camera with me ti the flea market. grrrrr. left that in my bag in my mom's car.
Amanda: no, lol, greg didn't call us the BWW gang. I just made that up. He said something along the lines of, "So, are you coming to the gathering at the show?" something like that. Did you see Greg afterwards? Had he opened the pressie by then?
Ryan: I started watching it last night. couldn't finish it cause I was falling asleep and had an 8:30 class this morning. But what I have seen, it is great! And I have really fallen in love with Norbert now. so sweet in it!
anyway, that's all for now. got to go read for class.

i feel the same way annie.. i wish i had been there. i plan on going in 2007, lol...
I had no idea how neat it was, would have gone this year If I'd been a tad bit smarter, next year though...a year is not that long right...
two days till Greg's bday!
Heyy...read carefully, I certainly didn't force him to kiss me. I swear I just asked for a tap, I'm going to pretend he heard tap or hug, b/c I really wouldn't even have the guts to ask for a kiss, so let me enjoy the fact that he decided to do it, not b/c I forced him to. But yes, I like the idea of bway stars kissing their fans.
Hmm...will prob post a bit more about the rest of the day shortly.
Ohh and Annie, I have the characiture John drew of the cast signed by him, I feel like I want to do something w/ it for you or in honor of you...any suggestions?
NEXT WEEK WE GET TWO DAYS OFF OF SCHOOL! THANK YOU, MY JEWISH FRIENDS!
seriously. i REALLY need a break. i know that it's only been like...3 weeks. but i really, really need it! haha
lol, amanda, i know u didn't force him!
that *would* be funny tho! "MATTHEW MORRISON! YOU HAVE TO KISS ME OR I'LL DIE!"
hahahahaha
Okay, again much has been mentioned about the concert on the main thread, I mentioned some things but here's a few juicy tidbits.
New parody in FB in "it sucks to be you." Norbie is in that song, that's all I'll say w/o spoiling it, but it was hysterical and the guy definitely had Norbie down.
Concert...k...first off, don't know if I mentioned before but my first influence to Broadway was the Cabaret soundtrack. .My aunt played it while driving me to Nursery School everyday when I was 4. I can't believe I saw Liza Minelli! In the beginning when she sang 2 bars of Cabaret...ask Kerrie...I was completely hyperventilating. And then I coulda sworn the other song was gonna be Maybe this Time and frowned. Oh well, still Liza.
Umm..trying to think of anything else I didn't mention on main board...I understand Kerrie's love for Brian D'arcy James and Julia Marney, both were amazing.
Patrick is soo much cuter in person and w/o the wig.
Oh, funny times. Kerrie and I jumped up as soon as Idina finished her song, we joked ppl will think we're the crazy Idina Wicked fans, ah well. I jumped up when Q sang "George Bush is only for now" until I realized I was the only one standing and embarassingly sat back down...
Was hoping Bebe would sing "All That Jazz" but still great to finally she her perform live.
I felt special directing Chris and Phylicia to ppl in the audience.
Hmm, I'm pretty blank now, will post more if more comes to mind.
But a couple non-Broadway issues aside yesterday was a FANTASTIC DAY.

No Amanda, I cannot accept it. I am sure it was not cheap.
