Ooh okay, finishing up from yesterday...
I went from class to Bloomingdale's to try to get those free advanced Rent tickets. I ended up being 3rd an hour and a half before which was kinda shocking, so I got them. By advanced they ended up meaning 4 1/2 hours before the premiere but they're still free so that's fun.
Was exhausted after...got dinner, coffee, went to American Airlines theatre b/c I wanted to tell Matt something to only realize that she show started at 7, not 8 and I missed him. Oh well.
Rushed Altar Boyz-3rd row center for $21. Second time seeing it, hadn't seen it for a couple months, lots of fun, lead guy is still gorgeous.
Waited by Spelling Bee to say hi to Deborah S. Craig but they weren't out by 10 so at that point I decided to try to talk to Taye this time after Soldier's Play since it wasn't raining. He didn't come out till 10:30...w/ two friends started walking, didn't even see me...so I left. I'm on a role here folks.
Anyway, then went over to DRS, show hadn't gotten out yet, talked to a bunch of kids who thought they were being stage door whores(if only they knew who they were talking to...), then said what happened next, got book, bumped into Norbie, met Jo. So then I just kinda stood on wings/stage signing the book while Greg talked to his friend who he worked in w/ LA and they talked to some of the cast members including Jacqueline Bayne for a while b/c the guy knew her too. Kinda fun standing there listening while I signed, contributed a little(there's a time limit of how long I could be silent), like friend said how great show and cast is I volunteered that I loved it(b/c no one knew) tried to show Jacqueline she wasn't short(Greg said compared to DRS cast HE was short...that just made me mad). And umm...ooh Laura passed again, said hi, thought I saw the show again, I laughed and said I held myself back this time, soon, but there's some ppl I wanna bring and some ppl I wanna see it w/ so I'm trying to hold back w/o them. She laughed, we talked for a bit, she was tired as was everyone.
Umm...ooh apparently Greg watched some of the show yesterday when he was done w/ the movie, said he couldn't believe how great the show and everything was, he watched all of Like Zis Like Zat and such. I was very tempted to ask how Dennis was but held back, I can't lie about things so if I didn't hafta tell anyone how I felt Dennis did on Saturday, that was good.
Umm...ooh Greg's friend said he was disappointed that the show doesn't get to show off Greg's amazing voice, realized he was right.
Okay...then Greg said bye to friend, I finished up guest book, made joke about how I tried to keep it short b/c he already has way too much to read from me and he was like ohh! and told me he had just read my 12-page essay on DRS vs. Spamalot(I told him about it and he told me to send it to him, sent it a while ago.) He said he looooved it, thought it was well-written, good arguments and esp. loved my opinions. Heh. I left thinking that was sooo cool that I wrote all about a show and someone in the cast read what I wrote and loved it...hehe.
Umm...then we said bye...had some time before broadway bowling, so realized Fiddler was right down the street and out later than everything...Harvey had already came out, Rosie hadn't...she didn't come out till like 11:35(practice for bway bowling starts at 11:30 oopsy) but she was very nice, I got a pic w/ her, she was in this awesome outfit of hot pink, yellow and blue something I would wear that most wouldn't, and mentioned I was from her town and saw her once at her mall.
Did pretty bad at bowling. Done quick, drove home. Talked to dresser Tom about Dennis' performance Sat, apparently he doesn't do matinees b/c didn't know how he did yesterday but agreed w/ me the performance was inexcusable.
And now I am off to a Tribute to Kander and Ebb. Going w/ the mother, it's on 43rd between 5th and 6th. Mommy makes us get there early b/c she's weird so I said since we're early could I go visit a stage door? She agreed prob to Naked Girl if there's no traffic, DRS is too far, but Naked Girl's on 43rd so hopefully she'll at least meet Matt and I'll get the time right and will intro her to Greg someday.
