Hiiiiiii everyone.
I feel....hungry....
Ulgh...awful day along w/ Tuesday. Divorce issues, Dad gets hopes up, than puts me right back in despair, find out more about lies and my life being a facade, know things the sisters, don't, feeling very very depressed.
Seeing Sweeney matinee tomorrow, was thinking about a night show and realizing way I am feel/it's gotta be the scoundrels. Anyone wanna lotto it w/ me tomorrow night?
I bought snow boots...they're stylin'...y'alls are jealous...
To nature, You may snow now. Love, Catherine
wish I could amanda. can't though.

totally would amanda, but alas, i'm in TN....so maybe next semester if i move to the city?? mwahaha
Hello everyone.
I'm not sure what I think about Jonathan Pryce in that role. He certainly has the acting and singing chops down, but I just can't see him doing comedy. It takes a master to get the comedy timing down just right and I certainly hope he has it. (Lithgow can make me laugh just by looking at him.)
In the meantime, barring any unforseen circumstances it looks like I will get to see the original cast and I couldn't be happier about that. I am going to have a lot of time to kill after the show and I was thinking about going to see Aida. Gav - let me know what you thought of it. Would you recommend?
Wait Mamie, where would you see Aida? It's not playing on bway anymore, it's not in or near NYC as far as I know...
Like I told Annie, Pryce played a very showy and comedic part in Miss Saigon, I'm not worried.

Yeah, it's not playing anymore, unfortunately...unless a theatre is doing it near NYC.
But I'll let you know anyway.
Ooops
I was talking about the opera. The Metropolitan Opera is doing Verdi's "Aida" at Lincoln Center. I guess I misunderstood. I thought you were going on Saturday.
(Sorry for the confusion)
mamie, I totally agree with what you said about just looking at John and laughing. Totally true. even when he is trying to be serious. i can;t help but laugh.

lincoln center!!!!!! thats where i would spend my last year of college if i go to fordham ...cuz they have their campus at rose hill for music, and then the last year you do ed classes at lincoln center. and they do their theatre program there too...duh..its a theatre. lol
ok wow i'm a dork. lol weeee're just gonna let the fact that i knew all that slide. lol
I just got myself a dish of icecream and it's sooo good. It's vanilla with chocolate swirls and chocolate chunks with peanutbutter. Yummy. It's no Godiva shake, but it will do.
...its okay cause you don't know what you're missing yet!
I love, love, love the Colbert report and highly recommend it...
The computer is back.

O.M.G. i saw rocky horror picture show tonight, only it was the interactive audience cult version one...SO HILARIOUS. the audience participation was GREAT...throwing toilet paper, rice, water, and cards...and yelling things..omg SO funny. i would do that again any day. although the movie itself scared me a lot. but the audience made it worth it
watched Hey Mr. Producer again, saw Pryce's "American Dream"..fantastic...great dancer, do you guys think thyey'd add more choreography for Lawrence w/ Pryce doing it, particularly in the More We Dance? I'd miss his incredible dancing in the show, and the voice, he can do both the Lithgow/Harrison way of sing-talking and has a wonderful vibrato, will be great.
And even the idea of seeing Sweeney from second row, going backstage and going to DRS tomorrow, I just feel...ohh yeah...yay...eh, as opposed to last night when everything was better and I was like eeeee I'm almost apathetic toward it.
You know throughout my depression, I always said I wish I could be the Phantom of Broadway...just like he made a house under the opera, I'd make a house under all the broadway theatres and live there, never come up except in the theatres themselves to watch the shows, could constantly here them, and free from all the **** above the ground.
Kinda feel like I'd like to be the Phantom of Broadway again...
Hey guys! Sorry I didnt see anyone in the city tonight but Kat and I went to see Avenue Q (she won the lottery- I swear she has the lucky charms bc she has won every lottery we have entered save for Wicked.) Unfortunately, my friend came along and she wanted to see the show too. So...being the gentleman I am, I bought a mezz seat for 45 bucks and sat there while Kat and my friend had first row seats ( >< ) Oh well, great and still fresh show after all this time. I even got all their autographs after the show. Kinda sad how almost no one waits for them because they are just so funny and talented.
Amanda, I have bought my tix for John's last show, Jan 8th. Row B left side, first 3 aisle seats. Third row, baby! I'm pysched!
Kat and I will also be taken next Friday once again! We are completely hooked. WE will either do lottery or get discounted seats. We promised Greg we would anyway hehe
---Norbert Website update--- I talked with Norbert after the show. He got the packet for the website and he is looking it over. He said he will get back to me shortly but he seemed quite pleased with it. So be ready Gav, Ali, and Kerrie. The website should be rdy soon.
Oh wow Ryan, awesome about the 8th! I'm the 2 aisle seats on the left side of center, row A second row, so you'll be right near me! I'm definitely either gonna be w/ my sister who never saw the show or my mom if she can't go. My mom saw it way back when, March, my 2nd time, but we decided it would be awesome for her to go back w/ the seats and see John's last show and she says she thinks she will be quite enthused w/ the fact that since March, I've prob come a much more enthusiastic audience member of DRS...hee hee. But awesome w/ you in my area we'll def get the crowd going, maybe between 4 1/2 of us(I'll tell my mom to, but not sure she'll go along w/ the whole scream-for-Greg thing), we can get Greg entrance applause. Actually I think I'm gonna try to get Sara some too. Will def get the audience to clap for Norbert rolling on the floor again, and other key moments, and maybe pick a spot or two I can scream something like ppl at ASU had. Hmm...
Okay, got some tears out, talked to cousin and Mom, feeling better. Still def going to DRS tomorrow and have a couple of maybes but no one definite. So yeah if anyone wants to lotto it w/ me for the evening show...PM me before...noon tomorrow, or call me after...if you don't have my # a couple ppl on the thread do so yeah.

Oh, girls, I am so happy for ya that you will see the show on the 8th of january and of course also very sad.
Plase, don't be sad Amanda! We are right behind you if you need some cheering up!
dre - John made you laugh even when he tried to be serious? Well I don't think I would smile during the "Love Sneaks in" number or during the Richocet, or the Johnny Skidmars movie - in which movies he played a psychopath evil.

Amanda, there's no way you'll be depressed today!! Sweeney + DRS!! Wow.
Gav, why did you delete your lj?
oooh, and Patti LuPone does a fantastic "Blow, Gabriel, Blow!"!!
does anyone here play the violin? i bought one from amazon.com and a beginner book. i'm going to give it a shot! should be interesting.
I used to play violin. I did for two years. 3rd and 4th grade. I quite after that becasue that and flute was just too much for me.
