Meh it happens. I would've been back here earlier 'cuz I got off work early (practically no one in the restaurant) but I went to buy a winter hat and some yarn for knitting :) I can only make scarves, but knitting is fun.

I'm a crocheter. I have my 4th afghan half done in the next room. I think we're going to need the extra blankets this winter. (Can't afford the heat!)

Snow is nice, but cold and wet and also no fun to drive in.

Mamie - I wish I could make afghans. My grandma used to make 2 for Christmas to be raffled off amongst use grandkids.

I've made 4 - either for myself or family and 3 others for 'comfort ghans' (for people in need of a little extra) in the last few months. That's why this one is taking so long. I'm getting a little tired LOL

I hope Greg isn't getting a cold re: The Official Greg Jbara Love Thread PART 2!!!! and I hope he's using the scarf I knit for him (it's blue which I though would be a nice color on him). NY is probably just as cold as here

[edit] Nope! It's actually colder here by about 20 degrees.

I think you have to take the wind chill into consideration. Manhattan can be bitterly cold. It's a little island and those tall buildings turn the streets into wind tunnels. That cold wind off the river can bite right into you!

(but I know it's not 20 degrees! LOL. You're definitely colder.)

Bweh sounds very unpleasant...looking forward to going there when the weather is nicer. 'course then it'll probably be super hot/humid. Just can't win with the weather :P

On long island it was like 60 degrees today...and I'm right by the water so we're usually colder than NY, plus they have all those big metal heat reflecting buildings...quite unseasonably warm...
So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that's on the worst day of my life.~Office Space
