Queen of the long posts O.o
Okay I am making a deal with Amanda. The next time Norbert is scheduled to be out for some reason and I know in advance, I will go to see Joe. Sound good ^^

Yaay ryan. I mean obviously his portrayal is different from Norbert's and there's aspects of his performance I enjoy more and aspects of Norbert's but if you go in accepting that I really don't think you'll be disappointed.

Mm, I read it. And, all further comments I have to make will be kept to myself. Or, well, off the boards.
"Question about Thanksgivin customs:
- do you all eat turkey?
- when do you eat it?
- you and your mother cook the whole meal?
- how was Raúl in Chitty? "
-Yup, thats about all I ate, I'm not a fan of stuffing mashed potatos, yams etc...
-We eat early on thanksgiving, around 3ish
-My mother cooked it,If I had cooked it, the turkey would have wound up actively on fire i'm sure...
-Best thing since sliced bread...hehe thats not true, actually hes much better than sliced bread...one raul sandwich to go please..

Okay.
Everyone, see RENT. NOW. It's beautiful.
Ahem.
Well, we developed a weird tradition...the immediate family comes up to my sister's upstate and we celehbrate Thanksgiving today, and then we all go back down to our home to celebrate thanksgiving w/ our extended family saturday(lots of cousins have wives so they have 2 families to spend the holiday w/, why we do this...) but we usually always eat turkey, dark meat for me. We didn't get it today though I did end up eating a turkey sandwich...
b/c my aunt and uncle drive up, we eat afternoonish 2, so they could get back home, saturday we eat in the evening 5:30/6..
My mom and aunts tend to share the cooking duties, I do nothing of course.
Raul is very talented, but pretty miscasted in Chitty, not bad but not the kind of role for him...personally, I think he has more chemistry w/ the car than w/ Erin Dilly...
And Cat, it's close enough to a turkey, bring back the ostrich for today!
Hello everybody. I just got back from my brother's house where the whole family contributed to a wonderful, traditional, and OVERSIZED dinner!
I've been reading a lot of the commentary here about Dennis' performance when he went on for John before. I agree completely that any performer can have an 'off' day at any time and they shouldn't be permanently faulted for it. Unfortunately in this case the whole matter is altered by the fact that it was Amanda who saw the performance and who was so negatively affected by it. Had that criticism come from almost anybody else, I would probably have just forgotten about it. Having it come from Amanda though, makes it particularly hard to forget. I don't believe there is another person alive who is a bigger backer and supporter of the cast of that show. She is truly a booster for every standby, understudy, swing, chorister, gypsy, etc. I don't believe she would have said a word if it hadn't been truly bad. (And as a supporter of those gypsy's, I couldn't be happier that she's seeing the Gypsy of the Year Award show. I wish I was going!)
ANYWAY - I'm thankful today for all of you (and all of them!) and I hope you all had a wonderful day.
Aww Mamie thank you, you put a big smile on my face!! As I was reading that and you said the situation is altered by the fact it's me, I thought we were going down a Amanda thinks she's special and makes such a big dramatic queen thing of it, and I was just gonna be like god great completion to my day, but what a totally opposite wonderful sentiment! It couldn't mean more coming from anyone in the cast themselves!
And Gypsy show...THANK YOU...ahem, someone was supposed to get back to on that almost a week ago and I even agreed to stop nagging and such and in the process I forgot! Won't mention that person's name *coughkerriecough* but she...or he...really should let me know soon, I'm getting impatient waiting for tickets b/c I always get tickets for things right away in fear they'll be soldout and then either if i waited i would get better seats for the same price or same seats cheaper, can't break that tradition!
That's all right Amanda. I just hope THEY realize what a strong supporter they have in you. Don't wait too long for that ticket though. They sell out pretty fast. This is a link to the online ordering:

I hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. I certainly hope Greg and the DRS gang did as well.
I'm sure they do...well unless they're all just really good actors and act nice to me...always a paranoia you have in these situations I suppose...but I think that's being a tad paranoid...
Thanks for the reminder Mamie, got my ticket-rear mezz. They seemed to have tickets still available at most levels, maybe I'll be able to move down at some point.
I'll hafta find out what's going on w/ that, I know if nothing else Greg Graham is participating in and choreographing a number but when I last talked to them they were preparing for the parade today and were pretty exhausted w/ that so they weren't sure if they were gonna do a number, but they def will be there, I said they better do a number if I'm there lol, hopefully will find out for sure next week.
I'm sure they'll be there. I can't imagine a big show like that not being in there. Maybe they'll partner up with the gypsy's over at Spamalot again? They could do a parody of Phantom - where they end up wondering which one of them can outlast Phantom. (Just a thought - although I'm sure they're way past this stage by now!)
Well, my sister called and she wants me to go shopping with her. The bad news is (well, actually that is the bad news) that she wants to be at the mall at 6AM. So, I'm off to bed. Night all!

Good morning, everyone! I had a wonderful Thanksgiving. My madre made dinner just right. The turkey was so good that I want some for breakfast, which I don't think I'm going to do.
Oh, and I get to see David today. HUZZAH!
My name day...finally, you must all bow to my superiorty

Me - the polite Hungarian - took a bow just now.
And I am "still hurting", I have a bad back
mamie, amanda, or whoever-do the gypsy of the year performances get released on dvd? (i hope so!)
and ryan-you *must* see joe. only because he is awesome. haha
i hope everyone had a good thanksgiving yesterday :)
Gah, I missed RENT on the View this morning. I'm so mad at myself. I set my alarm and everything, but fell back asleep. O-well, I've got some upcoming appearences to look forward to.
On a better note, waking up to an e-mail from Greg put me into a good mood.
I am sure Joe is great. I am just concerned I will judge him based on Norbert's take which is very unfair to Joe. I will try my best when the time comes though.

Jamie,
You'll eventually be able to order it from here:
http://www.broadwaybeat.com
Proceeds from the sale of tapes and DVD's also go to BC/EFA. As of the day when I bookmarked this site, you couldn't order them online. You print out the order form and then fill it out and send it to them in the mail. They may get their site updated to allow for online ordering one day.
Time for Christmas shopping lol. Do you guys want to secret santa or do you want to get Greg a gift from all of us? We used to do that at my job and I always found it fun.
Traci-
I'm delighted that you received your email from Greg, but I have to tell you that reading about it really broke my heart! I sent him a Thanksgiving card on the day before Thanksgiving. It was a Hallmark ecard and they let you know when it's opened. He didn't bother to even open it. I was telling myself that he was just off the PC over the holidays but apparently he wasn't. That hurts.
Now I'm suffering from pre-mature post-holiday depression!
Broadway Legend Joined: 4/16/05
Well, Mamie (and all others), I'm feeling not depressed, but a little sad.
I went to Romano's, hoping David was there because he said he was working on Friday nights. After a while, my mom and I got worried, and I called him to see where he was.
The conversation went a little like this.
David: Hello?
Me: Hi David, it's Carole Ann.
D: Oh, hi!
M: Where are you?
D: At Border's, where are you?
M: At Romano's...
D: Are you serious? Oh, gosh...
M: Yeah.
D: Well, I checked the schedule for tonight, and it appeared that I had the weekend off. I completely forgot that you guys were coming!
Gahhhhh. Now, I have to wait two friggin' weeks to see my best friend in the whole world. I can't wait that long!
