Tsk Tsk Chrymnn...
Homework assignment:
1) Listen to Spelling Bee
2) write ode to the greatness of Catherine
3) Find out who Marci X is...
A couple of posts I have made in the past:
First, about the Kander and Ebb concert:
"But...IMO the best of the night was Rachel York. I'm a huge fan of hers to begin w/, I saw her in Dessa Rose and Ragtime at Papermill, loved her in those, but then got the Broadway Victor/Victoria tape and could not believe how much she stole that show, how great she was, and couldn't even believe it was the same person I saw! But tonight...for the last song of the night, she sang "As the World Goes Round." Wonderful singing and riffing and she opened up the second act w/ "Maybe This Time." Right up there w/ Liza. The woman was just...amazing(think I've overused that word, sorry). She received the first curtain call of the night. "
"I've seen Rachel York in Dessa Rose and Ragtime and she was great in the motherly, older roles but to see her as Norma in this was a hoot! She was great and soo different, it was 10 years ago but still, she's certainly climbing the charts as one of my favorite broadway actresses."
Also about the concert:
"Also, for those of you who watched the Victor/Victoria Greg tape, Rachel York who played umm...Norma was there. Now, I saw her in Dessa Rose and Ragtime thought she was great, but couldn't believe it was her, the same person on that tape b/c she was soo great in it! Well she was AMAZING tonight. Did Maybe This Time and brought the house down, was up there w/ Liza, got the first curtain call of the night...talked to after about what I posted she was sooo sweet...quickly becoming another one I'd fence hop for b/c she's soo talented..."
And in Nov listed her as like 10 of my fav bway ppl
And she's...gonna be Christine...in DRS...OMG
This is soo awesome!
Except I'm really excited and starting to get worried I may act a tad fangirlish at the stage door which I promised myself I would NEVER do at DRS...oh well
yaaaaaaaaaaay

haha. no i was intrigued about Amanda's cryptic message.
but someone should burn me a copy of Spelling Bee.
I hadn't heard that about Rachel York, Amanda. This really is incredible news because I understand that she is an old friend of Greg's from before V/V. I'm sure he'll love working with her again.
So - who's going to be Muriel?
Sarah, IM me(yanksrule2a25 if you didn't know)
Aww, Mamie I think I even sent Greg an e-mail once after I watched V/V about how great she was/is and such...this is...crazy. Wow. Yay.
haha, just before I checked the thread I read the article about Rachel playing Christine and then I come here and your all talking about it. GMTA.
Greg has company....sinking into the background.
I'd only be really disappointed if Greg wasn't Andre when I went!
And on the subject, I hope you're as happy as we are about Rachel's joining the cast when Sherie leaves.
Mamie, who's "you" are?
anyway ahh found a bway piano book which I was playing on clarinet for longer than I shoudl and late for 2nd to last ballroom dancing class! be back about 10

No idea why I was SO amused by the capture of Greg opening the door.

*SQEAL* OMG! OMG! YAAAAY!
first mr pryce, and now RACHEL TOO!? that's it-I *HAVE* to see the new cast!!!!!
I guess we have to be happy looking at the wardrobe.
Good night all.
night, mamie!
Jamie, you have GREAT taste.
I'm gonna miss ballroom dancing...it's pretty rare a jewish white girl is one of the most advanced "dancers" in any form of dance class.
Also in important news, I have a headache.
i was the same as Traci. I read about Rachel York then came here. This is going to be great. I have only seen her in the V/V tape. I can;t wait to see her in it, playing a character like Christine. and to see her and greg together again, it is going to be awesome.
slideshow is up. pretty funny at the begining. Thanks barb!
Oh yay slideshow! I missed tonight cuz I was at my grandma's using her sewing machine. We watched Project Runway on Bravo lol.
Ooooo Greg said hi to me <3 Snagging that pic (please Barb?). Hope everyone had a nice night.

wow, Rachel York? Not bad...but she is still Norma to me from V/V, so she we'll be kinda Jolene-ish I belive but that's cool.
(But I am happy that Sherie will return in June, you know why...)
And good morning everyone
I can give it a run through tomorow Amanda if you want. I am already planning to redo 18 pages of my book 3 tomorrow so I could use a side project. So much for my hands >.>
