I figured he would be that last weekend, Ryan. I was actually thinking more about taking him to lunch the week before. But he's probably got every minute accounted for now. We're going to have to be happy just sitting in the audience.
Congrats, Gav!
Wow, one year? I say this calls for all kinds of celebratory-ness (yay made up words!).
Yay the light is back on in Greg's dressing room. He's back (and late tsk tsk).
I haven't watched Greg Cam in forever.
so, wait. meet up before or after Greg's last show? cause, I'll get into the city early if I have to. But going for lotto for the performance. anyone want to help me? I doubt it will be hard. I got it for John's. and a lot of people didn't know he was leaving.
What do you mean by 'help'?

Oh - I can do that. I'll probably have other people with me, but we can work it out.

I LOVE JASON G! So much so I refuse ot butcher his name. He went on as Freddy at both shows today and was awesome!
Greg was awesome, as usual, even though I know all the jokes and silly quips, i always crack up from him. Love him!
John is awesome, too. It was a little strange though because he interacted witht he auidence more than I remember anyone doing.
AH! It was awesome, I love the show and the AA seats weren't bad either. For some reason half of the first row was empty. GOing ot look at the slide show now!
Sorry about awful typing!
Love the slideshow as usual. Pryce wearin' his glasses is kinda adorable - makes him seem classier than he already is. Glad Greg's finger is healing. Feel like sending him some 'get well' candy (peanut butter and chocolate of course heh).
Oh yes, moving into my first apartment in July. I'm sharing one with one of my older brothers lol. Should be interesting and I'll be living about 20 minutes closer to campus.
Oh Mamie, I wish I could join you for Greg's last show (or any kind of fan get together) but my last DRS will be on July 12th. I am taking my best friend who has yet to see it and we will have one last tour with Greg. I am trying to get to see it one more time before then but my life of late has been totally crazy and unpredictable. My husband was in the hospital a few weeks back for a yet to be diagnosed illness. And then, last week, his only sister passed away after being in a coma for over 13 years. We flew up to Toronto last weekend only to be delayed until we missed the funeral. I came back with the kids on Monday and he was supposed to fly back on Thursday but his flight was canceled (after sitting on the plane for hours) and he won't be hime until tomorrow. We were trying to keep his health problems from his parents, but he had an attack of Vertigo on the plane on Thursday so he had to tell them. So, like I said, my life is crazy but seeing Greg and DRS might just keep me from having a complete nervous breakdown! I am seeing Sweeney Todd with my son on Wednesday night. I am considering stopping by the Imperial stagedoor just to say hi.
oh my god Malki! I'm so sorry. I hope everything turns out alright. And I really hope they know what sort of illness he has.
of course, Greg always makes everyone happy. Just seeing him or hearing his name makes me happy. hope that helps.
Thanks Dre! They have ruled out major things like heart attack and stroke but still don't know why he keeps getting the Vertigo and numbness in his hand.
Greg makes me happy too and being able to email with him has definitely made things a little better.
oh that good. hmmm. I can ask my mom what she thinks. ooo, maybe a burst blood vessle in the head? Cause my mom's friend's husband had verigo and they realized it wasn't a stroke but it was burst blood vessle in the head. so, maybe?
ooo, article with Jonathan and Norbert. quite interesting. supposedly, when Norbert found out that John (Lithgow) was leaving, he had sleepness nights.

Hey! I'm finally home! I'd post reviews of shows I saw, but I'm bad at that, and I saw 4 so that would take too long. I saw Rent (I loved Tim Howar!), Jersey Boys (they all stayed to sign even though it was raining and they had to be on the Today show the next morning, they're all incredibly nice.), Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (I think you all know that that show is amazing, and even though at first I was dissapointed that Norbert wasn't there I remembered that yall said Jason Gillman was great so I didn't mind too much- and he was great! So was Greg who, by the way, IS the nicest person ever.) And then we saw Spamalot (which was great, the scene with Prince Herbert was so funny, the dad kept cracking up and there was this one time when the dad, herbert, and Lancelot just stood there laughing for a good 20 seconds.)
All of the shows were amazing. Oh one more thing about Spamalot, in the Knights who say Ni part, when the head guy says "We are now the Knights who say, ekki ekki etc..." he was like "We are now the Knights who say, ekki ekki ekki wpong pang somewheeeere over the rainbow, you'll always be my American Idol" and then in the Diva's Lament she said "replaced by Britney Spears, or Katherine McPhee!!" So yeah. Kat was in the audience and then while I was walking out I was behind her and long story short I got a picture with her. She's really nice.
So Greg. At the curtain call he looked at me and he pointed and he was like "It's you right?" so I nodded and then he pointed towards the stage door and was like "Come backstage" or something along those lines. I had to wait for my parents to get to the stage door because they had seen The Drowsy Chaperone which gets out about 40 minutes ahead of DRS and while I was standing there Dennis Stowe and Chuck Saculla walked out and I was going to see if I could get a picture with Chuck, but just at the moment my mom walked up. I totally regret not asking! Anyway we got backstage and Greg showed us up to his room where the two other people (totally forgot their names) were already and did the webcam thing. I was so nervous at first and then I remembered to look for Whip and the big pencil and all of that stuff so yeah I saw it all and then he took us on the tour. When we got to the hair room Rachel York was in there getting a haircut which was pretty funny. My parents were very impressed by how nice he was and how much time he took for us and all that jazz, it was a great experience!
I'm done now because that's just way to long for me!
the hair room? you got to see the hair room? details please.

Okay the hair/wig room is small, but has tons of shelves all filled with different wigs. There was a man and a woman in there (the amazing hair people). The woman was cutting Rachel's hair and they explained all of the things they had to do to keep the wigs in good shape. The part that got me though was the fact that they get there earlier than most people and they leave later than most and the woman has a 2 hour train ride to get home. Unbelieveable.
