yeah, i'm sorry to say but Dennis is just not right for DRS. maybe not right for comedy at all.
aieeeeee.
i hoooooooope greg and joanna will be on when i FINALLY see this show.
yar. i missed their interview's.
damn me and my dates!
oh wait, no!
In his defense, at one point during John's stay with the show, I remember specifically on cam Greg said that he no longer carries Freddy in, that Greg does now. So it wasn't Dennis not carrying him in, it was the character who doesn't do it anymore.
About Dennis...*shrug* For me it's not even about what's right for him but obviously the mistakes. I don't think it's that no one else can do Andre's role; Joe got raves in the part! (And according to my friend wore a black wig...would have loved to see that).
Yes, I def would recommend GG, but like I was saying, good luck getting tickets. Actually, there may be a little left from the second extension--those are $75, not $65.
Ooh and the stage door--who was the sub? I know the black guy is there sometimes but usually he's never out or putting up barricades or anything. I guess if it was crazy, I could see where him or whoever would get frustrated, but I hope they weren't pushing. But yeah, it was really chaotic. Though I still say the most hilarious thing was this crowd was waiting for the leads...and Rachel York walks right by them and they say nothing.
In his interview Greg spoke about how carrying Norbert everynight was the hardest part of his job.
I remember specifically on cam Greg said that he no longer carries Freddy in, that Greg does now. So it wasn't Dennis not carrying him in, it was the character who doesn't do it anymore.
yeah, but Dennis was on for Greg not Jon and he still didn't carry him in. it was a bellboy.
and I asked Ryan about the stagedoor guy, cause I had met someone that wasn't kevin at one point and he looked British and I asked ryan if it could have been him and he said yes.
When Dre and I were there it was Richard the 'Understudy' Stage Door Guy, maybe it was the same guy this time Ryan.
Edit: I watched Conviction tonight and I have to say that Rodney is the cutest little thing ever!
That is all.
was his name Richard? he did look British right? cause that is what I remember.
Yaay Traci! We must converse quickly. I was doing a fantasy baseball draft so I was taping it, and now I'm off to watch it.
Aww, poor Greg. Thanks for the tidbit from the interview Cat.
No Dre. When it was decided that Greg would carry on Norbert, that decision applied to the characters, not the actors. It wasn't that John won't carry Norbert and Greg will, it's that Lawrence won't carry Freddy, and Andre will. Stays the same no matter the actor.
Ooh Cat...tomorrow...yaay!
Yeah, his name was deff Richard. British? I have no idea. But I do have a picture.
He's the one that's NOT Norbert

Rachel York can also be heard on BWW Radio singing "When The Camera Isn't There," a song from an upcoming musical, and singing it fabulously I might add. The song can be found on the demo CD "Lyrics By Leipart."
That's the same demo CD that contain's Greg's recording of "Isn't She a Wonder?"
Enjoy!
Right, Amanda. Rachel walked by and almost no one stopped her. In fact, I said "good job Rachel" and then, everyone suddenly wanted her autograph. Kat and I are still steamed about the stage door guy though. He didnt handle the situation very well but I do agree that it went out of hand way too fast. I still have no clue where literally thirty people came from.
ooo, that's not the one I mean. remember the one that let us go up to the dressing room traci? that is the one I meant.
and amanda, this is what ryan said in his review: Plus he looks way too old and because of his age, he didnt even carry Norbert in after the Schuffhusan (sp I know) scene.
so, yeah, I know andre is suppose to carry him, but Dennis (who went on as andre) did not carry him.
Never mind then. I have no idea which stage door guy you guys are talking about.
I was only assuming that Dre. I think Amanda is right about this. Nonetheless, it doesnt change the fact that Dennis was so underwhelming. Is Greg back tomorrow or no cam till Weds?
No cam till Wednesday so I'm assuming Greg will be back in on Tuesday.
Ohhh! I'm a dummy! I was thinking he was playing Lawrence. I take it all back. Brain glitch!
That's not him, Traci. He was a younger fellow.

hi, I won't be here much around this weekend because everyone in my family is having a cold - that never happened before. We have used at least five boxes of tissues by now. And my poor sister also has her period so that is not a cool weekend.
I will be here for the monday show Dre,
can I have the song At the fountain from Sweet smell, or the first number from Footloose (that is a little long, I believe 7 minutes). Thanks.
By the way, since it turned out that New York is a no can do this year, my sis and I have choosen Paris. Not bad, right?
Yes bad Annie! We won't be in Paris; meeting us is more important! Lucky ducky.
So yeah I probably won't be on for the rest of the day. Leaving for Les Miz in Conn. soon, which takes an hour and a half drive, then straight from there, an hour and a 1/2-2 hour drive to my show. Then perform, then go to sleep. It'll be a loong day.
got them annie! any other requests?
check this pic out! one from the Old Globe theatre. interesting dress sherie is wearing and it seems like there are people to the right of them.
and here is a link to a workshop that DRS is doing! it looks great, and I wish I could do it, but of course I can't.
